DianHua Dictionary

This dictionary has been a real help to my studies. I've been using it to help my Chinese reading since I got my iPhone. With multiple look up its great for English to Chinese and Chinese to English it is very easy to use. In Beijing I used it to decipher museum signs in Chinese and even to get my husband antibiotics at the pharmacy. I can't recommend this highly enough.

Great app, displays accurate search results and has a really useful flash card facility so you can sit on the bus and study.

Utterly brilliant! I use it to augment any learning be it via audio lessons or lessons with my teacher - using the flashcards really accelerates learning vocabulary! I absolutely love the idioms to! I wish there was an option to simply browse them - maybe in an update. Can't recommend this app over the others more, especially since it tends to display relevant results first rather than alphabetical as some of the others do.

KTdict C-E seems to have longer listings of words. However, DianHua has more features (compared to the free version of KTdict) including bookmarks and flashcards.

This app is brilliant! It provides you with great ways to practice what you already know and to expand your knowledge via the search function. Can't believe it doesn't cost a penny. Thank you!

I love this application! I made the mistake of purchasing another dictionary on iTunes for £5.99 when this does quadruple as much for free! It has every single word/phrase in it which has come up in my post-graduate Mandarin classes - unlike the app I purchased - honestly can not fault this app! Well done to whoever created it - genuinely the best on iTunes!
