Best Heiroglyph App
I have been studying Middle Egyptian for about 6 months with the excellent GlyphStudy online group and have got to the stage where I regularly need to look up words - which is a bit ponderous in paper dictionaries. This simple design allows me to input the first three transliteration letters and then gives all the possible solutions - simple and awesomely effective! Plus it easily allows you to look up specific glyphs with Gardiner codes and has an English to Egyptian dictionary too. Definitely worth the money - like having about 5kg of reference books in your pocket!
Crashes on every search
You can search English to Egyptian; that works. Egyptian to English, however, does not work. The app crashes every single time. I have deleted it and applied for a refund; but my advice would be to save yourself the bother.

It includes an exhaustive dictionary (searchable in numerous ways) and has now been updated with a huge database of toponyms and king's names.
Does Gardiner give you backache? Does Faulkner give you eyestrain?
