dict.cc Dictionary

I bought the pro version to support the developer. But I am hopeful. If you could please improve the eng to finnish section. There seems to be a lot of missing finnish to english (vice versa) translations when I could easily search those words from my alternative free dictionary app. I could not report every missing word and hope that on the next app updates it is there. I love how simple and straighforward this app is and that's my complain.

I'm beyond excited to have found this app after having tried many others. It is refreshingly fast, the items are easy to skim through, the vocab list is thorough and packed with brief and useful examples. And the UX is full of tiny delights that make using this app such a joy.

Simpel, schnell und verlässlich

Die App finde ich wirklich gut, denn man kann sich mit verschiedenen Stimmen das Wort vorlesen lassen, um die korrekte Aussprache zu lernen. Zudem ist die App einfach so gut, weil sie günstig ist andere versuchen alles an Geld rauszuholen.

Aktuell ist die App leider unbrauchbar. Nach jedem Start geht die App in den Hintergrund. In der Task-Übersicht ist sie weiterhin sichtbar. Lässt sich aber nicht mehr in den Vordergrund holen. Auch nach Deinstallation und Neuinstallation. Stand 21.06.2024 Bitte fixen!

Für einzelne Wörter gab es seit 2011 noch nie ein Wort, das diese App nicht hatte. Ich benutze und bewerte es daher ausschließlich für Englisch. Bei ganzen Sätzen oder Kamera „Aktionen“ benutze ich dann die andere App. Ich möchte hier keine Werbung machen, auch wenn wir sie alle haben und kennen. Trotzdem verdiente 5 Sterne, weil es mehrere Bedeutungen für ein und den selben Begriff gibt und hier alles sehr ausführlich dargestellt wird, keine Verwechslungen, und die App „weiß“ was der User sucht.

Leider funktioniert die App aufgrund des neuesten Update nicht mehr. Sonst ist sie äuserst hilfreich 🇩🇪🇺🇸🇪🇸.

Sehr gute Übersetzungen, schnelles Finden von zusammengesetzten Begriffen, auch die vielen Beispiele für Redewendungen sind äußerst hilfreich. Einfach klasse!

Das ist jetzt die dritte Version meiner Rezension. Drei mal in 15 Minuten abgeschmiert (Kaum schreibt man eine Rezension funktioniert es auf einmal (Titel sagt alles, keine Ahnung was da los ist, schon alles versucht. Läd und läd und läd. Nichts passiert)9

Was using it as my primary dictionary app and was pretty happy with it - it was a very helpful app (and surely still is for ppl who can run it w/o crashing). Experienced a lot of “update breaks app on my iOS-Version situations” - usually updates do the contrary to making apps better. So most of the time i avoid updating. That goes for dict.cc, too, - haven’t updated it for ages. Unfortunately, a cpl of days ago I decided to do the update and instantly regretted it big times. Since the update the app kinda starts, shows a blank screen and directly minimizes itself (although it seems to somehow run in the background - it just is not usable). So again another app with an update that destroys the app - what a shame (iOS 12.5.7).
