Dictionary for 51 language combinations, usable with or without an internet connection (offline dictionary). Vocabularies can be downloaded and updated within the app for free.
German-English dictionary: more than 1 million translations
All dictionaries are bidirectional, so German-English doubles as English-German. Just type in your keyword in either language.
The following languages are available in combination with German and English:
Albanian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Esperanto, Finnish, French, Greek, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Latin, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish
New translations and corrections can be suggested at http://contribute.dict.cc/. Every translation gets checked by several other contributing users. The downloadable vocabularies are updated daily.

Randomly stopped working

When opening the app I just get a „white screen“, or „dark screen“ (depending on the apple colour settings.

Top Übersetzungen

Umfangreiche Funktionen, speziell in der Plus-Version, logisch strukturiert, einfach zu bedienen, seriös, ohne Unterbrecher-Werbung etc. Und VOR allem offline Wortschatz! Schlicht das Beste Programm, das ich schon gesehen habe.

Wurden Änderungen vorgenommen?

Funktioniert seit ein paar Tagen nicht mehr, trotz Aktualisierung…

by far my favorite dictionary app, fast and easy to use, very practical and almost always an entry for what i’m looking for. unfortunately it crashes and won’t start since a few weeks

my favourite dictionary- but app crashes all the time

I find dict to be the best free dictionary online, and I‘ve never found anything like it. I also love that it can be used offline - however, the app has started to crash every few days and then it won‘t start up again, even if I restart my phone. I have to redownload it every time; which frankly, is getting annoying after four times in the last two weeks. So please fix this bug so the app is back to its full glory again :)

Beste Übersetzer App für Unterwegs!

Die dict.cc App ist einfach super! Mit der offline Funktion welche nicht sonderlich viel Speicherplatz braucht kann man jederzeit im Urlaub übersetzen, auch ohne Internet oder Netz. Der Support ist hervorragend, hatte ein Problem mit der App und mir wurde innerhalb von einem Tag geholfen. Dict.cc ist sehr zu empfehlen! :-)

Nicht brauchbar

Die App ist nicht sehr brauchbar, wenn man beiläufig Englisch lernen möchte. Es gibt zu viele Übersetzungen für ein Wort und der Kontext für Wörter oder Ausdrücke ist oftmals nicht erkennbar. Deshalb: ich habe mithilfe dieser App Englisch eher ver- oder vergelernt als gelernt. Die Datenmenge ist jedoch enorm und wenn man eine Ahnung für ein Wort oder einen Ausdruck haben möchte aus einer Fremdsprache, die man halbwegs versteht, ist diese App nützlich.
