Downloaded this app on the recommendation of someone on Reddit and immediately bought the premium version for £2. I really appreciate that this is a non-recurring payment. App developers could learn a lot from this. Had it been recurring, I wouldn’t have purchased.
Dict.cc enables me to quickly store words I hear in my German practice, along with a meaning I select from a list, the correct spelling, and an audio pronunciation. I can then play a game where I translate these chosen words between DE / EN and vice-versa. This is incredibly useful for me, as I’m currently picking up a lot of vocabulary from German TV shows and need to quickly store words to practice later.
The UI is kind of clunky but charming. I’ve found that I like it. The whole app feels developer-led - especially when it comes to merging dictionaries. I wouldn’t change it (and this coming from someone who hates most UI design). I think it’s pretty logical.
One feature suggestion I would have would be some way of making noun gender more obvious / memorable. This is something I’m really struggling to memorise. Maybe colour coding the bars the various nouns sit in would help?

App doesn’t load
App doesn’t load, instead just displays a blank screen. Reinstalling only solves the problem for about one day.

This have been hella helpful with my german. When you search a word it gives you multiple suggestions of words which you could use and this really does help improve your vocabulary. Furthermore it gives you the gender of german words searched which allows you to apply german grammar concepts, such as the german cases, better

look I don't review at all to be honest but I'm a German student at school and I think this is really big help to have an offline dictionary which I downloaded, especially from dict.cc which is a recommended site from our school anyway. Cheers!

Almost perfect
The dictionary is fantastic providing you don't require a letter with an umlaut! If you have one in your word.. You're unable to get a definition. It's unfortunate as there are so many words that include them so it's quite limited. The website version of the app is brilliant and I hope there will be a fix one day. It would be 5 stars if this was fixed.
