This application for iPhone or iPod Touch makes it easy to consult the online French dictionary TLFi from the “Centre National de Ressources Textuelles et Lexicales” (http://www.cnrtl.fr/).
It is possible to view the definition, the etymology, the synonymy or the antonymy of a word.
The TLFi (Trésor de la langue française informatisé) comes from a dictionary in sixteen paper volumes which contains 270 000 definitions and 430 000 examples.
Other features:
• Search for a word via spotlight
• View a definition from another app: select a word and tap "share…".

Le seul dictionnaire à avoir
Merci beaucoup pour ce chef d’œuvre ! Pensez-vous faire une version hors-ligne ? Ce serait la cerise sur le gâteau.

Génial, des années que j’espérais que quelqu’un fasse une application autour du TLFI qui est vraiment un dictionnaire excessivement complet. On apprécie en particulier l’historique d’apparition de chaque mot dans la langue !

Bien mais inutilisable
L’application est ergonomique et mérite d’exister ne serait-ce que pour les travaux menées par le CNRS. Cependant, elle reste, pour ma part, inutilisable tant j’ai trop souvent le message d’erreur : Désolé, une erreur est survenue. Veuillez ressayer ultérieurement. Dommage.
