Dieta Reviews

No Customer Service

RustingRabbit on

United States

I really want to give this app 5 stars, its the best tracking app, but its virtually useless if I can not have my nutritionist connect to it like they advertised. Both I and my nutritionist have tried to reach out to customer service, but all we get back (if we get back anything) are basically bot or null emails. Does anyone actually work on this app? If so, I would really like to continue to use it since the AI helps me log all my info without causing my disability to flare too much. Unfortunately, we just do not have a way to port the info to my nutritionist to review.

Love the tracking - AI photo interpretation seems a little off

I’ve been having GI symptoms and wanted a free app for tracking symptoms and BM patterns. Really impressed that you can track so many things - BMs, mood, food, meds, and more - and it’s simple enough to sustain. The only thing a little off is the AI photo interpretation. Sometimes I feel like it gets it right but sometimes I’ll have formed stool and it will say it’s completely liquid. All around really impressed with the app though.

Buggy - history inexplicably disappears

Micky Spillane on

United States

There is much I really like about this app, particularly the ease of use via photos. Unfortunately after gathering roughly 6 months of history it has twice had all history beyond a week suddenly and inexplicably vanish. The first incident several months ago was fixed after I complained but this time I’ve received no response from the developer despite two support requests. So close but not reliable.

Lots of cool features - analysis is iffy

Terence K. Ryan on

United States

I’ve enjoyed Dieta for a week and a half now! I’ve been very consistently tracking my stoole as I try to figure out trigger foods. I really like that it lets you take pictures in the app and does photo analysis. Unfortunately after using the app for eleven days I haven’t gotten my first week analysis and it’s been frustrating.

Why does the analysis not work?

emolsen2007 on

United States

Love everything about this app, but the reason I tried to use it doesn’t work: the analysis function. What’s the point of tracking my food and symptoms if there’s no way to see any correlation? I thought I had finally found the answer when I discovered this app, but after asking why the analysis fiction doesn’t work I’ve just been told “it should be working soon.” I’m so bummed.

Analysis seems inconsistent with Bristol stool chart

Macybatiki on

United States

At first I thought this was a great tool. Lately, not so much. Analysis is inaccurate if the standard is the Bristol stool chart. Had high hopes for this. But it is a way to store photos to show a physician.

Great app minus the graphing

MckMacPaddyWhack on

United States

While I love the tracking of a variety of symptoms in the app, with how much data is collected I would have thought there would be more detailed graphs of my symptoms. The graphing was a selling point of the app for me but I was disappointed to find only one graph waiting for me. It only accounts for an overall view of how I felt each day on a scale of “excellent” to “terrible.”

Motivation for change

Jjjjjjjj12324 on

United States

I never leave reviews, but I needed to this time. Been struggling with stomach issues my entire life and trying to track my food but either lost the notebook, the will, or the habit within the first week. This app is a godsend, enough said. I would pay money for this, but I’m glad it’s free because we didn’t choose these problems, but we’re addressing them.

Most customizable

llngjwiwofufn2495 on

United States

The most customizable diet/pain tracking app and most comprehensive for digestive issues: It has an actual stool picture analyzer. You can add anything into the diary. If you really want to investigate like exactly what food, medications, activities are affecting your digestive symptoms, it’s perfect.

Bugs prevent creating account!

mad_max73 on

United States

The app is probably good but downloaded 3 times and it will not let you created an account. Several error bug messages. Maybe not compatible with latest. iOS
