The Dish For My RV - Dish Network Satellite Finder app will quickly allow you to determine if any obstacles like trees or buildings are in the way before you attempt to setup your satellite dish.
It's easy to use the Dish For My RV - Dish Network Satellite Finder! Simply point your iPhone towards the southern sky and see on the live camera where the satellites are. You can then easily determine if there are any obstacles preventing you from receiving a satellite signal. This is the ultimate line-of-sight tool!!!
Use this app when camping, RV'ing, tailgating or at home. Use it anytime you need to know if those tree's, buildings or any other type of obstacle might be in the way.
The following Dish Network satellites are supported: 61.5°w, 72.7°w, 77°w, 110°w, 118.7°w, 119°w and 129°w.
This is accomplished by using the iPhones built in video camera with an overlay of all the Dish Network residential satellites as dots in the sky.
To use, simply point your iPhone towards the southern sky and see everything on the live video screen. The Dish Network satellites will show up as red dots as you move your iPhone around, allowing you to quickly and easily determine if there are any obstructions in the way.

It is extremely important that this software is used outdoors away from objects that can cause interference to the compass. Any compass interference will cause the satellites to move sporadically. Please avoid using this software by any object that can cause magnetic interference.

Love this app. Just stopped working. I used it 4 days ago. Frustrated.
App not working
I used this app once, it worked great. Tried to use it today and it wouldn’t go pass the first screen and then closed.
Easy and quick
By far the best and easiest to use dish pointing app for Dish TV.
Works perfectly
This app has worked perfectly for me for several years. It allows me to see where Dish satellites are located so I can place my portable dish so no trees or other obstructions will block the signal. Perfect for camping, no cellular or internet signal required because it is GPS based.
Complete waste of time and money
It simply doesn’t work. Satellites “move” so you can’t center them, like halfway across the sky. Tried it with the case off of my phone, same result. Too bad, since I could really use this app!
Don’t buy this app.
This app doesn’t work. The “satellite” markers move and do not stay in one point in the sky. I have restarted my phone, and even deleted and reinstalled the app several times. No change. The few times it looked like it might work the app crashed and I had to reopen it. Pick a different app, don’t spend the money on this one.
It don’t even open up it shuts down
It’s not worth 4.99
Not useful
Its not accurate at all!! My dish works perfect now but was gonna move it. I stand beside my dish and use this app and it shows 2 sets of 3 satellites and both are nowhere near where my dish is pointing!! Waste of $4.99 I’ll never get back!!
Waste of money
Didn’t work half the time even after rebooting iPhone. Hecjung for a different free app.
