“District of Namysłów Mobile Guide” mobile app is a useful source of information on the unique features and places of interest of the region. Located near Wroclaw and Opole, Namysłów is a town with its own, distinctive soul, a long history and a variety of established local traditions. The Namysłów region offers not only architectural jewels, but also beautiful landscapes, perfect for those looking for a peaceful place for a quiet holiday. The region has plenty of charming places and spots, all accessible by hiking and cycling routes.
“District of Namysłów Mobile Guide” app provides descriptions of several dozen historic objects which have recently undergone renovations. The EU-funded project titled “The protection, promotion and development of the cultural heritage of the northern part of the Stobrawa Rehabilitation and Recreation Zone” breathed new life into many of them. The descriptions in the app are accompanied by photographs and GPS coordinates which make it easier to locate them on the map. Some of them have spherical panoramic images allowing you to peek inside the historic churches. The user can also play voice recordings which make it easier and more interesting to use the app.
The mobile guide to the district of Namysłów has six thematic routes which will take you through the main places of interest in the region, such as the Nature Lovers’ Route or the Wooden Churches Route. The descriptions are accompanied by GPX files which make it easy to reach the places of interest and provide some key information on the route and the local historic objects.
The key element of the app are the field games which will make your visit to the region so much more interesting. Travelling across the Namysłów region and solving riddles and puzzles, you will uncover the fascinating history of many objects, and eventually learn the password of the quest and receive a diploma which you can share in your social media.
“District of Namysłów Mobile Guide” also provides the latest news from the region and interesting articles on the local affairs. Some elements of the app can be added to your planner so that they are available at any time, without the need to browse through all data.
The app has three language versions: Polish, English and German. It does require Internet connection to work – you just need to update the data beforehand.
