Broken app. Didn’t make it thru awful signup process
Basics of Signup are completely broken. I signed up, it sent me an email. Clicked the link. Then it sent me somewhere where it said that, despite signing up in Fairfax, that I was stuck in Alabama with no option to be from a non-Alabama city. Then it forced me to try to sign in again and now I’m in limbo where I cannot reset my password (that I never set in the first place), I have a username that cannot sign in since “my profile doesn’t exist” but yet your website (it should NOT go through an external website) says that I cannot sign in since that portion knows I do have an account: literally every part of your app is broken. This dev needs to take another Udemy class before trying to release an app to the App Store. Way to alienate your first customers. 1. Your sign up should not ever need an email sent to my inbox for verification - sign of an unprofessional app 2. Entering my location comes after sign up is complete 3. Never have a system that can verify the user but lock them out. It’s better to have an insecure system than one that can never be accessed 4. Don’t have so many separate systems. Just sign people in automatically the first time using their AppleID. It should be easy. 5. Stop making and releasing apps before you’re ready. This was an awful and untested UX that goes out of its way to lock people out 6. Location, is easy and basic dude. Seriously. Instead of populating a list of towns and cities that can conflict and lock people out of their actual location, since you can’t figure out sorting order, just have the user enter their zip and have all locations referenced by zip code. Dramatically easier than your funny business where everyone is forced to pretend they live in Alabama. 7. Stack oVerflow is your friend.
