Description

The official app for Divvy, Chicago’s bike share system.

Divvy consists of a fleet of specially designed, sturdy and durable bikes that are locked into a network of docking stations throughout the city. Our bikes can be unlocked from one station and returned to any other station in the system, making them ideal for one-way trips. Bikeshare is a greener, healthier way to get around — whether you’re commuting, running errands, meeting friends, or exploring in a new city.

The Divvy App gives you access to thousands of bikes in your area — unlock and pay directly from the app and get going.

The Divvy App also shows upcoming public transit departures, including CTA ‘L’ train lines, local & express buses, shuttle buses, the Jeffery Jump Bus, Metra trains, PACE buses and the South Shore Line train.

Divvy Bikes Reviews

App seems ok till you need assistance

Download the app today, 8/9/2024, so my son and I could ride by the lake. App seems easy enough but I’m not able to unlock multiple bikes at once, at least I couldn’t figure that out. Couldn’t find a “contact us” section on the app. So I’m summary I paid for an unlock and 3 minutes for nothing, please refund my money and fix this for future use.

scam

We got the daily pass thinking it would save us money. Instead it ended up costing us way more. The daily pass was $18 and we got our bikes. We are fairly new to divvy bikes and turns out the bikes we got were not the classic ones. So aside from the $19 we got charged $35 for the hour we were riding. The daily pass was useless. I called to ask about this and customer service is also useless. They said they can’t do anything and they couldn’t connect me to someone who could. save your money, buy a bike or take an Uber. Not worth the headache

Horrible

Scan your card at the stand. Then you have to download the app, and it wants you to enter everything again, even though you’ve already paid for it. Then by the time you’re done setting up your account, the code you got from the stand is expired. Take an Uber.

For the first time i took a divvy bike a bought a day pass for 3 hours to ride around with friends for a while for FUN for like 20, turns out i was charged 70$ because the “electric divvy bikes” didnt count for the day pass, like bro what, i called customer service and they didnt want to refund me my 70$ not even a one time curtesy or big warning, told me i was on my own on this one. On the app it even states the the day pass is applied while riding, rode for 1.5 hours and 70? Is crazy stupid

Worst service I’ve ever been subscribed to

ONLYREVIEWSBADMOVIES on

I’ve never written a review for anything in my life, this service is the only thing bad enough to motivate me to do it. Divvy is fundamentally broken as a reliable form of transportation. Half the bikes don’t work, half the stations don’t let you unlock the bikes, the regular bikes are the worst I’ve ever ridden, bikes are never available at peak hours, it’s all-around terrible. Don’t give them money, they don’t deserve it.

Very confusing. Some drop off racks don’t work.

It said you could add 2 riders on the same account. But after you select one bike, there was no option to add a second bike. We had to open a second account. Pricing was misleading. It said $18 for all day but never showed an hourly rate. 2 hours and 25 minutes cost me $29. It also took 20 extra minutes to find a drop off rack that worked.

Save yourself the headache

The most incompetent customer service ever. And it’s not even the individual reps, but the people who drafted the policies without accounting for basic things. The bike I check out got stolen after I fell over a pothole and bystanders came by pretending to help just to steal the darn bike. I have provided them the police report at least on 5 occasions. Every time I check back, someone new is looking at the case and asking for it all over again and passing it to some “specialized” department who are clueless about anything that happened before the case got to them. Absolutely incompetent idiots. Otherwise, you can bank on either no bikes available when you need one or no stations available to dock them. It’s the epitome of mismanagement.

Great service!

I’m not sure why all the negative reviews, but I personally found this service to be awesome! I rented in Chicago and had no troubles at all! The baskets in front have straps to strap things down; of course you have to make sure you’re items are securable. And if not, put them in a backpack. I had a place to rack my bike both times. And the app told me my ending price each time. The Divvy/Lyft app integrates with Google Maps which was super helpful for navigation. The only suggestion I have is to add a cell phone holder so people can have the map handy while riding. Thanks for the transportation Divvy.
