DKN Cloud NA Reviews

Terrible App

terrible disappointing on

Wish my units didn’t have to run with this App. Always saying my units aren’t connected. In 2024 there has to be a better App. Anyone know of one will start researching

Total Garbage

Total garbage app. Very buggy and never works properly. What a waste of money.

Looses Connection

DKN Not Connected on

United States

When the system works its fine, but every couple of weeks the system looses connection and states DKN Not Connected. This error message lasts a few days and then clears itself on it own.

Frustrating when network needs to be changed

KSSW on

United States

I received a new router and had to set up a new home network. I could not connect to my unit using my iPhone 15 - it kept saying “Bluetooth not enabled” even though it was. I finally tried my iPad - downloaded the app, logged in, and the app found my unit and I was able to connect and update the WiFi network. FIX THIS PLEASE.

Setpoint alerts

Akutan696 on

It would sure be helpful if the app had the ability to get low or high temperature alerts. You would think this would be one of the main reasons to install the wi-fi adaptor.

Only works sometimes

The app often gives me DNK not connected. The schedule function doesn't work. When it works it's fine to adjust the devices temperature or mode.

Doesn’t replicate remote functionality

hekc on

United States

I feel it really comes down to this company providing this app as an afterthought or they are wanting you to shell out for a thermostat. It is a real shame that the app doesn’t even come close to matching the functionality of the included IR remotes. They included scheduling and basic operating functions and that’s it. Timers, quiet operation, left and right airflow are all absent from the app. I love the efficiency of a ductless system but looking back on it now, I would have spent a little more time researching which manufacturers allow you to control your system in a more modern way and the found a contractor who would install that system.

App is horrible

Ideazinfinite on

United States

The app is slow, antiquated and unreliable. Everytime you switch to the app from a different app, it gets stuck on a Loading screen. If you make quick adjustments to the units using the app, those are often not registered. The app doesn't seem to talk to the units locally when on the same network which is why things are slow and unreliable in my opinion (aside from having a poor backend service)

No Support/Cloud Service - DO NOT TRUST

Oopaieo on

United States

As of 7/17/2023, cloud service still frequently disconnects. Manual restart often not successful. No warning system in place that tells you why or when an issue occurs. Highly advise to NOT rely on this if you are remote as you could think your device is off but it’s not, wasting tons of electricity, or think it’s on but your place is getting nothing. Local bluetooth testing is always okay but their server keeps dropping wifi connectivity. The best method I have seen to try to jumpstart it is first confirm if it’s just one device not working versus others (if you have multi-zone). If it’s just one device, go into the app and select “configure devices” while searching for the serial of the faulty one (also annoying that you can’t label them, you have to know by its serial for wifi change). Once you find it, reset the network by selecting the “change network” option and choosing your same network while re-entering the password. Wait for a positive connected pop-up and your device should be working again with wi-fi. If it is not or all your devices were not working, it’s a server/cloud issue and you’re at their mercy until it comes back up. Each wifi module adapter costs over $200 and yet behaves like $1 3rd party junk. People started complaining about this issue over 3 years ago and the last update was 7 months ago with still no resolution. AVOID if possible and go with another brand if you want wi-fi capability. Kinda insane how it’s 2023 and a multi-billion dollar company and one of the HVAC industry’s leaders can’t get a simple wi-fi module done correctly.
