Used to work fine until Apple updated its operating system too 11.0.1 no longer works hopefully DM will sort it out with an update.

The app is useless!

I bought a 32gb stick, excitedly I filled it with videos and books. Then I was faced with the worst app I have seen in a long time. It orders videos by size and not name. I can't book mark my books and I lose my place every time I close the app. Waste of money!

Potentially good, but not at the moment.

Let's get this straight from the off. The idea of this app and device combo is great: Something small that can transfer files between computer and iPhone and lets you use your phone as the high powered media playing device it is. Sadly, the idea is the only thing that is great at the moment. The biggest hurdle is the reliability of the app. There are several little annoyances that could make you send back the USB device on which this app works. On transferring files from iPhone, the app is about 90% reliable. I tried to transfer some music files and it only managed to work on 90% of them. It left a random selection untransferred. Dunno why. Similarly with pictures. This meant having to go back and re-upload the missed files. Which leads me into how the files are ordered. Date of download. That's it. There is no facility to move, or order files within folders in the app that I can see and it's frustrating to say the least. Second, is that the app won't reliably play the content of the USB device. Music seems ok from what I've used, but trying to watch a video is a glitchy and bumpy affair, never playing for any longer than a few minutes. I have yet to get through a film without the player freezing. Annoying. On the positive side, it does load up pictures reasonably quickly. I will say that the USB works as a USB in a computer perfectly well. It's 3.0 so it's quick and I haven't lost any data yet. So, there needs to be some development of the app to make it more flexible. Sadly, given that this seems to be the first review, and all the reviews of the USB stick online are from people who have had it sent to them to review, it is unlikely that improvements will be coming any time soon. Score one for corporate indifference, I suppose. It's a shame because it really is an excellent concept. It's just poorly delivered...for now.

After the update of 24/8/16 the still has no ability to create or import playlists or sort playlists. Once this has been done, I will be able to give it a proper review.

Nice simple app... Maybe too simple

This app automatically asks to be downloaded from iTunes the moment you attach the g-mobi stick to your iPad. The layout is very simple and easy to navigate. My main grievance with it is the inability to sort by file name order. I have many audiobooks in MP3 track format in folders on the stick, which are rendered useless due to the fact they are all out of order (though not when I first downloaded them onto the stick). It would be very helpful if 'sort by file name' was an option on the next app update.
