"At first I loved Doofus Drop for its style and concept, then I played it for a minute or two and thought it was crap, then I played it for a few more minutes anyway; upgraded some stuff, accepted my own limitations within the game and settled down to enjoy the lack of effort and easy drama. Now two days later I think it is a work of rare genius and still can't put it down. It's a good game to play after a hard day contemplating the meaning of life: playfully arguing with a friend about which series of Power Rangers had the highest special effects budget, or debating what you'd miss the most after an apocalypse. It's safe to say Doofus Drop is not for everyone*, but the emotional thrill of achieving a sweet long drop (through no personal skill, merit or entitlement) is just peachy. The game invites a sort of zen-state, where the less you care about the outcome and the more you pay attention to the details the further you appear to travel, but it might just be me. You're welcome! x *Do you like pointless footnotes? If not I don't think you'll like Doodle Drop, but feel free to prove me wrong. People who like strategy games probably won't like it either, but change is good for you."

Pleasantly surprised.
This game is genuinely a delight. Very reminiscent of Homerun In Bezerkland / Bezerkball from back in the day. The game allows enough natural progression to avoid microtransactions altogether, they genuinely feel optional for once which is refreshing and it’s just altogether good fun.
Not quite pay to win, but close.
Game progression is possible but after a time it becomes clear it’s pretty unforgiving and it’s trying to get you to pay without attracting attention. Fun but wants your money.

Great game, so addictive!
Frustrating, slow, greedy
It looks great, a lot of thought and character in the art and design. A shame the gameplay is so tedious, upgrading is glacially paced because each run is so stingy with its upgrading currency (that you can just buy tons of instead), constant, annoying ads. Not worth the time.

Tilt glitch
Every time I get a ‘golden bike’ I get stuck being told to tilt phone. Won’t exit none of the other buttons will do anything. So irritating!
Doesn’t work
I get stuck on the tutorial screen when it tells me to click upgrades
