I wrote a one star review several years ago when the app stopped working and I lost all my back issues and the price of a one year subscription. I just tried it, committing only to a monthly subscription, and it works! Latest issue downloaded and I can scroll through it properly. Yayyy!
Fortunately I paid for only one month. After I subscribed, I still have no access to the issues, not even the current one. Not even after closing the app several times and rebooting my phone.
I decided to download and give it a try despite all the negative reviews. And I just wasted my time. The app is terrible. It doesn’t even offer a mechanism to connect to an existing DB account: you can only buy a new subscription. Calling this a dumb app is offensive to the vast family of dumb apps out there.
What else? It’s totally offline.
I wish I could give a proper review, but the app doesn’t seem to open at all on iOS 17.0.2 for me to really give it a look.
They keep trying to get me the past issues— going back to March, 2021, but nothing works. I’m giving up & canceling the magazine. As far as I can tell they owe me a refund, but I doubt I’Ll ever get it.
Download the app thinking it would be as good as the Guitar World app. I subscribed, newest issue loaded, but I can’t use the app to purchase back issues. I can only get previews. Tried emailing support but they haven’t helped. Hoping this review will help them solve the issue.
