There is some time lag, and there isn’t a way to compensate for the echo lag
This app is one of the most refined apps for shooting. I really like it. The only problem is it lags behind about .19 seconds in my case, so none of my splits are accurate. If you could adjust the echo lag it would be perfect!
Freezes up
App on my IPhone 14 just started freezing up
Worked great for the 1st 2 months
All help appreciated

Good but could be much better
Hi,
I really like the SG timer and app but I think it is missing some pretty basic functions that would take this to the next level for serious competitors.
1) add SEARCH function in Calendar, Stage Library, and Training. This way I can quickly find what I am looking for so I can save time during live or dry fire and find a drill or stage in the calendar so I easily do analysis of improvement over a period of time.
2) add the ability to give a quick stage a name and maybe even add notes.
3) add something similar to Training but for live fire. This way I can enter in drills by name and then quickly pull them up at the range and shoot them. Then I would have a training record for livefire just like I have for dryfire. I do the same drills for both so why not be able to train the same way.
4) add all shot times to stage results along with the other data like hit factor, total time, etc. If I video, all the times and splits are captured on the video, but if I don’t video then none of my times or splits are saved to my history for that stage. I like the video function but I don’t always have the time to set up video every time I go to the range.
Hope this helps!
Won’t connect to Apple Watch
The phone app is great and I want way to try it but the time won’t connect to the Apple watch app
Needs a tutorial
This is my first shot timer and it seems to have a lot of helpful features. Maybe the features in this app are common to people who have used shot timers before and they can jump into this app w no confusion at all, but to a newcomer, this app is overwhelming. It really needs a tutorial guide to explain what all the features are and how to use them. The Shooters Global YT channel has some videos that briefly cover the features but they are not detailed nor very helpful. They go over some of the features way too quickly. These videos are simply too brief and do not go into the nuts and bolts of this app. I think this app and the two timers that goes w it will be very informative and helpful, but not if you don’t understand what the features are and how they work.
As a side note, turning off the SG Timer Go needs some work as well. Holding down the Function key and briefly tapping the Start button is way to finicky to work consistently. It usually takes 1 out of 10 trys to get the timing sequence correct. I can’t wait to use this timer, I just wish I had some more info to use it more productively.
Frequently not saving drills
I’ve been trying the app , frequently when doing training or open shooting drills these runs don’t show up on my activity calendar at all. Can you address this please.
Also the new release mentions two new “Training” sections “Dry Practice” and “Shooting Practice” . I don’t see these, when I tap on Training it only allows me to create a training session. Can you explain this please?
Also in the description it mentions a free trail and subscription required after a 3- day trial . However there is no information on the app description, the shooters global website or with in the app on the rates of a subscription. In fact the shooters Global website doesn’t mention anything about a subscription being required ? Can u explain this please?
Obnoxious
Shouldn’t have to sign-in just to use my timer.
Awesome app to use for draw time practice
Been looking for a shot timer app to practice drawing under certain times and this is perfect.
Tons of potential!
Great to have all the shot times in the app instead of a tiny screen. “Quick stages” is great for recording scores. Even my friends who waited months for AMG Commanders are a little jealous of some functions. Things that would make the app perfect:
- ability to assign quick stages or sets to different shooters for team drills (with or without a SG account)
- video auto start with the first rep
- ability to go back to a finished quick stage and score hits after a few repeats of the stage is done
- PractiScore integration
App updated
App has been updated. Seems to be syncing with physical timer now. Very interesting and has lots of potential.
