Personalized support to cut back or quit drinking. 100% anonymous.
Drinker’s Helper is an app built by people who quit drinking to help others stop drinking alcohol or moderate their drinking. We provide an alcohol tracker, a support group, and motivational exercises to help members achieve their sobriety or moderation goals.
For free, anyone can:
* Take our alcohol test to assess your drinking
* Decide to stop drinking alcohol or set a moderate drinking goal
* Use our alcohol tracker to track your drinking vs. your limits OR use it as a sobriety counter or sobriety clock to track your sober streak
* Make and track a pledge to stay sober
* Try the first exercise of each course in our library (up to 17 exercises in total) to help you resist urges to drink and build motivation to change
With DH Plus, our paid subscription, members can:
* Join a personalized support group, where you can get encouragement from other people with similar drinking histories (it’s 100% anonymous, so you can share freely)
* Access the rest of our library of over 100 motivational exercises
* Go beyond the drink tracker to get deeper insight on the strategies that help you stick with your limits and the triggers that make you want to drink
* Access insights from the community on strategies that work for them and benefits they’ve seen from sobriety or moderation
We know it isn’t easy to quit drinking (or cut back). Whether you’re just doing a Sober October or a Dry January, or if you’re done drinking, we hope that by joining our community, you can:
* Discover you’re not alone in wanting to drink less or stop drinking
* Become more mindful in your drinking decisions using the drink counter
* Strengthen your personal motivation to quit drinking or drink less

Started well…
Started to use the app, log urges and non-drinking days but then after 2 days the app kept bombing me out every time I went to save a new urge or log an old one. Unable to find any assistance within the app or means to report an issue. Real shame - refund please.
Generally happy
I was very happy with the app and find it easy to use and track everything on. Only thing bad that has happened is all my April data has suddenly disappeared and I don’t know how to get it back unfortunately. Not ideal as I don’t know the daily data just the April total but don’t even know how I would renter that?
Waste of time
Why does it take 20 minutes of questions for the app to disclose that it want me to pay £18/month?
As a heavy drinker I spend £150/month but the app says I will save £900. Apart from that it looks promising, but by hiding the subscription cost it has undermined my faith so I may need to crack open a bottle now!
Could be so much better
The community chat is great. It puts people with others with similar circumstances and similar struggles. However, everything else is clumsy and non-intuitive. It’s not easy to track sober days. It’s not easy to understand the statistical information that is gathered. It’s very easy to break a streak of recorded sober days accidentally and therefore seeing you back to zero - very demoralising! My advice - if you want a supportive community, give it a try. For recording and receiving accurate and easy to interpret data, try something else. Disappointing and demotivating app.
Life changing
This has been honestly a life saver
Review
Really not happy with this app , how people can rate it more than two star is unbelievable. It doesn’t help anyone , it’s just a very very long stupid questionnaire .
No evident way to stop payment after free week!
Hunted everywhere thru this app. Cannot find a way to stop payment.
Group nonsense
The groups are just algorithms, they’re not real people
Pay £6 a month for anonymous social media
I will admit I have not given the basic features of the app a chance, but the fact it didn’t once mention having to sign up for a plus membership to be put into a “group” is misleading and seems like some horrible people trying to capitalise on genuine human issues to turn a profit.
Maybe I’m judging a book by its cover but when I saw this app, I was truly interested to see if it could help with my problem. Instead it made me do a questionnaire and asked me to pay.
This app makes me lose faith in humanity.
Con, disappointed 🤬
Waste of time don’t bother, money grabbing con, under the guise of trying to help 🤬🤬
