Absolutely horrific customer service
They are copying a successful service in the US, only these people have no idea how to run a business. First, they will take the conversation outside of your account and tell you to contact them via the LINE social media app, which should be your first red flag. Second, the insurance they sell you is extremely poor and doesn’t cover you unless you’re in a head on collision and both drivers have survived. If another driver scratches the car and drives away as happened in my case, Drivemate insurance is 100% useless and you will be left paying the entire repair bill. Further, they will demand these funds like some sort of mafia debt collector. They told me, and I quote, ‘You will pay XXX Baht in cash or I will charge your credit card’. Save yourself the hassle and rent from Avis or Hertz. I’m guessing Drivemate is run by some entitled rich kids with zero business experience who threw together an app based entirely on a concept already executed to perfection in the US by professionals.
