Technical notes:
• The newer your device, the more responsive the sounds will be.
• Turn your silent mode off to hear the sounds.
• Don't expect to be able to play everything you play in real life right away (it takes some practice to build your finger chops).
• Finally, don't use real drumsticks on your device... you'll crack your screen and your friends will point and laugh at you! Let's try not to make this the bad, 1985. :)

Drumline Reviews

Flaws.

You don’t know me.. on

United States

Great game but flaws. One of them is that with tenors I get a buzz kinda noise with a drum, I’m not holding the drum or anything and some sound normal and others have the buzz.

No bass music

On a iPhone the drums are not responsive and not only that but you pay extra for marching basses and can’t even make music for them. That is very dumb and shoudl be added. Overall bad purchase.

Bugs

Its bad… sorry. I understand note lag, but every note registers as a rim tap and not a drum tap.

Mild feelings

Worked well for months on my iPhone 11 but I recently switched to iPhone 16 but now each time I hit the right snare it hits a rim it and when i hit the left it takes a couple taps for it to do anything the cymbals don’t work at all and the tenors hit reverse order

Amazing.

Wow. Drums are in tune, all marching percussion, lovely. It’s an amazing app.

Not recommend

hehdhrh-425-5645-526 on

Only has a couple options, the playing sounds a little off, and doesn’t really have any space to play different notes, although it does let you change the note dynamic, and has some pretty good options, I don’t recommend

Great idea but only if it actually worked

I thought this would be a bit better considering that it did cost money, but the drums are very unresponsive and anything attempted at a song is most likely failed. If this was fixed it would be five stars but DONT BUY unless there is an update or something

Great App, But Some Improvements Needed for Phones

iygdydgv on

United States

I love the Drumline app on my iPad—it’s a solid tool for drumming practice. However, using it on a phone is a different story. I often face issues with note registration on the tenors, snare, and bass drums. It’s frustrating when notes don’t register consistently. Additionally, the bass drums are puzzling; having two with the same pitch is confusing. I’d suggest arranging them in a clearer line instead of the current setup. These tweaks would make the app much more user-friendly on phones. Would I recommend you get this app? absolutely if you have an iPad but definitely not if you have a phone. Since the app works fine on iPad 5 stars but please fix the issues that I’m having.

Really fun! But…

The sensor system for each drum is kinda bugged and will register a hit in a different area other than where you tapped. The snare is all over the place when registering your finger. Other than that, this app has great potential!
