Does not report accurately at all
I tried this app in preparation for a quick draw event, counts down, but will NOT pick up the dry fire shot. Not even when holding the phone next to the pistol. Absolute garbage and misrepresentation.

It no longer works for dry firing. It cannot pick up the sound.
Worse than before. Doesn’t pick up dry fire shots
Absolute garbage
As the title, the sensitivity is non existent. $5 for this to not even pick up the trigger pull of a pistol or rifle is kind of sad seeing as the government listens to what I say through my phone all day. If the sensitivity issue is fixed this would be an awesome app and I hope it gets sorted!
This thing either detects its own beep, or if the sensitivity is too low detects anything but the click of dry fire. It’s useless, and that only after paying $5…
I have tried numerous times and the app will not register the dry fire on the 3 guns I have tried (2 caniks and a Glock). I even put the phone next to the gun with the sensitivity on high.
It’s not perfect but for $5, I feel it’s worth it. You will likely need to get creative to find ways to get gun close to phone mic upon drawing and pulling trigger to dry fire. Even on high sensitivity, seems you gotta be within a few inches. What I did: Used a camera phone tripod and positioned phone mic at level where I would draw and present. Took me moving back or forward a foot here or there to get my extension distance right. Upon doing so, it seems to pick up 50-75% of dry fires. Sometimes it will pick up sound of drawing from holster. If you’re on fence, give it a try.
I paid for the premium version hoping for some improvement, but the sensitivity is very inconsistent. Sometimes the app picks up its own been, showing a .04 sec time. Sometimes the app picks up the sound when removing my pistol from the holster. And sometimes, it picks up nothing at all. Some guidance and repeatability is really needed here. I think airpods compatibility would be beneficial here to get a mic closer to the pistol, and further from a holster.
On high sensitivity it's not stopping the timer. I've tried positioning the phone multiple ways and even right next to the gun and can't get it to track accurately.
