Why sign in via browser?

Experience is getting worse and worse with every update. Why on Earth did you remove built-in sign-in?

Crazy

Wake on Lan is totally broken. You can only log off and remove to try and manage another NAS. However if its off line there is no way to WoL!

Useless

DS finder ‘unable to connect to the server’ with quick connect id. Any browser works. It would be better for you, as a company, to just remove this embarrassing app as it looks bad on you.

Not fit for purpose

I used to use this app every day to wake, manage & shut down our server. Since the update it is completely useless. What has happened to Wake on Lan? Now I cannot wake my server remotely. So what’s the point in using it?

Worked perfectly for me.

Set up was simple and easy to follow. Everything seems to work as it should.

Push notifications

The app no longer receives push notifications regarding any motion detections. I’ve raised a ticket 3221890 to make you aware

Basics ONLY!

This App allows you to see only a very limited feature set of the functions required needed to manage a Synology DiskStation. You are forced to switch to "Desktop Mode" to do anything useful. (Desktop mode is what you use on your, er, desktop/laptop, etc.) As such, it is a HUGE p.i.t.a. to be forced into trying to use the tiny representation of computer icons on a phone screen with human-sized fingers. From a company that prides itself as making intelligent storage solutions accessible to the masses, this App is a bad joke! ***PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS*** Having said that Synology makes servers easier to use, they are well known in the community for punting out half-thought-out implementations of features, that can take years to mature. Early adopters of these features often fall foul to their mistakes. I say this from experience... I purchased a DS2411+ with a DX1211 storage expansion back in 2012. The hardware is still doing sterling service ten years later in 2022 (despite the failure of the 2411+ PSU that I had to replace with a modified ATX PSU in 2018 as the original SeaSonic one was no longer available). Truly happy with the hardware and continued DSM system updates. BUT, their releases of patches, can be - patchy. Best to wait and see if it's stable before using. And that brings me back to neatly this App... Early iterations were buggy and unstable. It is now stable, at least on my iPhone 12 Pro MAX, but even on this huge slab, and using the pinch/zoom feature of iOS, it is still a chore to use. CONCLUSION: Folks, this App not likely to improve in the near future. It is sort of useful if you are in a bind and only have your phone to hand, otherwise a PC or Mac is the only way to go.

Cannot get Synology support using Safari

A few things do not work as expected. I ran into difficulties but could not raise a support ticket using Safari. I do not know why but it would not let me add details nor would it let me submit the help request.
