Not a movie slate
It’s OK. You cannot customize anything without paying for it. If you want to use it for movies you’ll have to pay, otherwise it doesn’t make sense to use.

While on the storyboard page, the screen randomly animates upward leaving only the bottom half of the app visible and the lower half of the screen black with no way to set it right other than to close the app and reopen it only for it to happen again.
I like this dslr clapperboard it is awesome
When I save a customized template design for the slate and then try to select it for use, the app crashes and closes. I’m only allowed to choose the preset templates. I purchased the full version, I would hate to think I wasted my money.
I love the ability to customize the slate to my needs. However, after creating a custom slate the app won’t let me load it for a new project. I can see the list of saved slates but it will not load it. Additionally, after trying to load a saved slate and failing if I then go to load one of the built-in templates the app crashes. It is highly repeatable… it happens every time. If I go straight to the templates it allows me to load them but not after trying to load a built-in one. I am using an iPad Air 4 on iOS 15.7.1.
There is currently no audio for the slate that I’m getting.
doesn’t take into account the notch safe area on my 12 Pro
Apparently this only has 11 reviews right now?! That’s wild. This app is absolutely invaluable, and has smoothed out the process of directing, coordinating camera ops, and helping the editor out more than any other tool I’ve ever found, app or otherwise. The fact that it turns into a color chart after the clapper hits is genius; and the ability to send an email with all of the takes marked as good or bad, timecode information, and more embedded right into the email is just unparalleled for getting the info right to the editor immediately and makes communication between departments a breeze. This and frame.io are the best things you can possibly get for your workflow and turnaround time. Seriously.
No 23.98, 24, 29.97, etc…..
However it is limited unless you purchase. However there is no apparent way to purchase or what it cost.
