Dual Messenger+ FAQ
Is Dual Messenger+ free?
Yes, Dual Messenger+ is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Dual Messenger+ legit?
⚠️ Warning: Multiple users of Dual Messenger+ have mentioned scam or fraud. Investigate thoroughly before using this app.
This app was completely reworked, was originally called WhatsApp chat messenger or something like that and came with a one time payment of 10 for their service. Oh the good old days of paying for a service once. Don’t mind adding features and updating the app, but at least honor your day 1 customers.
Unusable after update
as others have pointed out, the app doesnt work at all after the update and now charges a subscription fee for even basic access - when it used to be free
Bait and switch scam
Don’t download! This used to be a very reliable WhatsApp messaging client for the iPad, but recently rebranded and is forcing you to subscribe if you want to use. No thanks.
Dual messenger not dual
Aside from the fact that this app changed completely after an upgrade towards subscription model, it is advertised as dual messenger but I can’t find a way to add a second WhatsApp chat to it.
What about those users who had paid to remove ads on this app and now the app is unusable outside of subscription after the last upgrade? And why is apple ok with this action?
Don't Download
Read the other recent reviews from the Fall of 2024. This app is no longer the perfectly functioning free Whatsapp for iPad. Don't bother.
Bye
Was using for years and now they took away the free version. They should give an option, if you want the free version or the premium.
Now Behind Paywall
I’ve used the WhatPad app for years. Today it’s gone and replaced with Dual Messenger+ that now requires a paid subscription. I seem to recall I purchased the app years ago and now have to pay to keep using it. I have no issues with subscriptions, but when an app flips from something I paid for to now requiring monthly subscriptions, I’m out. It would have been better to remove from the App Store and add a banner that it’s been discontinued and a new app has been released in it’s place. If I have to pay, I’ll look at all the other apps I need to pay a subscription for and consider those, too.
Scam
I have already paid this app more than a year ago and suddenly after the app update, they wanted a subscription all over again. And my older version has gone.!!! Don’T buy it
bye bye!
they just took away the free tier… ok then… bye bye… was a subpar app anyway.
Bait and Switch
I paid for this app. Now with update it changed to different app and subscription model. Felt cheated.
