DuckDuckGo Browser, Search, AI

Used this search app for some years now always with excellent results. Now if my phone would stop listening to me......

Looks great with the dark theme. One problem is that scrolling up and down doesn’t work properly, it keeps launching multiple pages up and down, very frustrating. Second thing is, It keeps defaulting to ‘moderate’ safe search. Doesn’t matter how many times I take safe search off and save it. In the end have gone back to using Firefox.

Great so far, just hope I can trust it to be as good as what I have read about. privacy is a paramount factor right now. This current iPhone 14 with presumed upgrades to now 17,8 still continues to breach previous set, settings, trying to reconnect to wifi or everything it can possibly do so within range even via Bluetooth or methods I didn’t know to be an option, it’s no laughing matter at all when it comes to known entities in close proximity information gathering. And personal safety. I hope this could also help with Facebook which also keeps relaunching itself any chance it gets just by a simple link sent. Also my YouTube is obviously a Google account I hope this can also be used without concern or displaying location usage tracking . World Wide Web has become a scary place now. It’s terrifying progressive way of working through connection is the ultimate divide, making life difficult to access ligitimate useful information freely without significant cost both health, wellbeing and anonymity between multiple corporate and government entities are not forthcoming with information I legally am entitled to, but feel tracking and reporting my personal is seriously flawed .

Used to be a private good browser, but now has gone the google route, every time you switch off Adverts or AI, it switches them back on in a day or two without telling you. Searches are also more google like, i.e. you don't get what you ask for, you get what they want you to see. Soon time to give up the Internet, it has been going steadily downhill for a long time.

There are a number of features I like about DuckDuckGo Go. Data privacy is important to me and is the main feature. Others I’m not going to mention because it will alert the organizations and businesses to what they are and nec minute they will be using counter measures. All in all an excellent browser.

I can directly access my bookmarks with a single press. No annoying sidebar to open and close. I also like the clear user interface, and DDG’s famous privacy protection. My wishlist includes reader view, font size adjustment, and the ability to categorize bookmarks. The default font size is way too small for my old eyes. That’s why I have to keep going back to the awful Safari.

Can’t believe it took me a conversation with Inflection Pi assistant to find this alternative to Google! The recently added Sync feature works flawlessly to pull my browsing history and bookmarks from the Mac version of this browser: SUPER handy! The only thing missing from my point of view is the “reader” mode: once it’s implemented-it’d be the best browser EVER! 😁. Huge thanks to everyone working to keep our lives a bit more private in the digital world! A+++
