The Dune Plants App from the Beverly Shores Environmental Restoration Group provides a searchable listing of 380 of the most common plants in the area. Detailed views of each plant offer photos, descriptions, and lists of plant characteristics for each plant. Keys make Dune Plants a powerful field guide, helping to identify wildflowers, trees, and ferns of the Indiana Dunes.

The new version, with almost 100 new entries, is an invaluable guide to plants in the Indiana Dunes. Highly recommend!
Must have App for the nature lover
I have been hiking the Dunes for over 50 years and lead people and groups on hikes and the biodiversity per acre is unparalleled in America. This is a handy App to help understand what is right before us. I have now added this to the hiking arsenal of Apps along with iNaturalist. Thank you Beverly Shores, Indiana for incredible scenery, trails, and this App!
