On my 9th birthday way back when, i received an xbox 360. Excited to play all the newest games i came across the demo for this game, by far after playing all the other games and demos Dust: AET was my favorite of all of them, even just the simple demo on the 360 was enough to show the great storyline, amazing art, and the fullness to the game. Unfortunately my family was not able to afford the game or had access to the internet to do so, so when the time came around my xbox eventually became buggy, out of service, and barely runnable (i still have it bc she was my first console) but due to this and me just growing up over the years i was never able to play the full game. Years later i found this on the play-store for a small price, i was so excited to finally be able to play this game I’ve admired since my childhood and I’ve got to say. It is truly one of the most amazing games I’ve ever played. The soundtrack was beautiful, the Art is beautiful , the storyline and atmosphere of the game is just phenomenal. I mean truly i am so satisfied with how this game was everything i pictured it to be, It brought heartbreak, it brought laughs, it brought satisfaction. I Highly recommend you play Dust :AET 10/10.
Truly a Beautiful and Amazing Game.
iPhone 12 and I’m assuming above iPhones issue
The game is great but on my iPhone 12 Pro it will run amazingly until like 20 minutes into the game I doubt Humble Hearts still updates Dust: AET anymore but if you do please fix this issue. P.S Dust: an Elysian tail is a god like game
Oh dear, how am I to ever sleep now?
As of 1:56am today, a few days after purchasing this game, I have finished it.
I initially came across this game through exploring some of the older works of the VAs here, but I suppose what made me stay was because it kinda reminded me of my childhood. I knew of the game in passing as I grew up, but I didn’t really know the title or anything. I knew nothing about the content or concepts going in.
I’m gonna be honest, I’m a student fresh out of high school freaking out about basically everything there is to freak out about, I barely made it out alive. I came to this game with the idea in mind to use it as a kind of comfort. I typically end up falling in love with older or ‘lost’ content from either before I was born or from when I was too young to comprehend/be exposed to it. It’s rather annoying if you ask me, but I digress.
The world that I find myself in now isn’t at all what I expected it to be. It’s a bit of a cliché to say maybe, but after Covid hit, I feel like everything shattered. I don’t think enough people realize how much of a mass-psychosis we’re living in right now because of it, it’s not like anything was done about it. I feel like I’m picking up the tinniest shards of myself and trying to fit them anywhere they could go.
It’s kinda funny how relatable Dust is in terms of character struggles for this era we’re in specifically. I mean, it’s not like having a life crisis is something that’s only happened recently, but more people are having them now I think, and in a much heavier manner.
I miss traditional animation all the time when I see new content, but I guess the industry may be changing right around now with the movies coming out most recently.
I used to play games with my brother all the time, bright and early in the morning even, but it’s been years since we’ve done it. My brother is also currently in a different state as of now, so it’s a bit hard to do nowadays regardless. I miss it…
Now for the actual review of the game itself! (THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS OF THE GAME)
I suppose I feel the most inclined to say something about Fidget first. I have no idea how she was received when the game came out, but I get the feeling that some may have just pegged her as annoying and useless on principle (you know, if the accusers couldn’t read or something). I like her a lot, she’s definitely one of the better companions out there to have present throughout a journey. She’s ignorant about a few things, but it makes sense considering she
10/10. A game that never dies.
Wow, just wow. This game aged super well for the time being. The Plot, the characters, everything. Is perfect. I love the effort put into this game, I hope those years of making the game was worth it!
Oh yeah, and I may be a little late, but happy 10th anniversary. This game is one I will cherish. Super fun, and somehow addicting to!
Stunning! Blew me away!
The visuals, music, voice acting, story, all of it is excellent and is totally worth the price! Wish I could re-experience when I first played! Overall great! This is what makes a great game!
Great Action with Light Metroidvania
Enjoyed the heck out of this game. The fighting and gameplay is fun and rewarding. Love the Metroidvania aspect of the game. But where it really shines is the compelling story and characters. The voice acting is rather good. It’s got controller support. Highly recommend this title for Metroidvania fans.
Crashing
I’ve heard this game is good. I just can’t play it. I just bought this game. Every time I start a game, it crashes. I literally can’t play the game☹️.
Nostalgia
I’m first played this game years ago on Xbox 360 and fell in love. With one of the most unique story lines I have ever played through it keeps they player engaged with not just the story but the characters, you meet so many and get attached to some. With side quests and different game difficulty’s it’s hard to ever get bored with this game. To anyone wondering if this is truly worth it, you just need to trust me and play it to believe it!
Nice
No other way to put it, it’s just a great game
A Fantastic Game that You Must Try
Dust was a fantastic game to play! The story and art was phenomenal. There’s also plenty of content in game to keep you busy. It’s still so crazy how a game this fantastic manages to run on a phone.
This is a must have game. The price is well worth it and you get so much content for it.
I wish there we more games like Dust. I’m a bit sad to say goodbye since I finished the game but it was a very enjoyable experience. Again I definitely recommend it.
