I used the app a bit, the only thing I didn’t like is having most of the books locked behind a subscription, but I kinda understand, they have to get money somehow
They say in their description that it’s $39.99/year after the 7 day trial, but I just tried to sign up and it says it’s $59.99/year! They lie and then wait till you sign up to tell you actual price.
I’ve had multiple issues with the app. Most common is failure to load with full features. I use the verbal reading daily and frequently the text won’t load nor will the verses progress. The vocal doesn’t function well. I have emailed the vendor several times. Although they are prompt with responses they insist the issue is on my Wi-Fi. I have deleted and reloaded the app many times. I have restarted my electronic device many times. We have smart tv’s, new Apple laptops and IPads as well as cell phones and we have no connection issues, no dropped calls, no pixelation on tv’s. As Dwell can’t seem to target an issue with the app, perhaps it is not compatible with Apple products.
Do not recommend if you are looking for daily inspiration & devotion for free. Most books, devotional , & daily activities are Not free & require a monthly plan.
I absolutely love this app. I new to reading the Bible and having these translated options are helping me so much! In the past I was told to stick with nkjv version but I even had a hard time fully understanding that. So once I finish with the csv and get the gist of it I’m going to listen to the nkjv. Having it read it me with soft music in the background is so soothing and peaceful.
I knew this app was a good fit for me in about 20 minutes and had already made the decision to purchase it. It’s well worth a yearly subscription to me. The background music is relaxing and increases my focus to the spoken word. There are a good amount of voices to choose from but I’ve settled on one that I like the best, and the audio quality is superb. Many versions of the Bible are available to choose from.
How is it that an app generated to spread “the word” actually charged you a fortune to listen to that “word”? In my opinion these people along with the Bible sites on FB are run by non Christian greed mongrels. A true Christian does not charge $200 to help spread the word of God. I know that it costs $ to run a site, but should not cost more then $20 to get full access. You’d get more subscribers and make the $$ on volume.
This is my second day with this app! I’m seeking to grow more in the Lord and I know how very important the Word is and to find true happiness in seeking Him daily!
