DZ Ballistics is designed to give airdrop aircrews accurate ballistic wind and drop information for HALO and HAHO airdrops using data from AFI 11-231.
Calculating an average wind is not as simple as it seems. A vector computation is required.
The entered or downloaded wind data can be used for pre-flight planning and briefings, as well as inflight updates to enhance aircrew situational awareness.
A picture is worth a thousand words and the Wind Circle Graphic gives you an instant visualization of the entered winds.

All reasonable efforts are made to ensure accuracy of the information. As always, the respective Air Force Instruction is the governing directive.
