Eastern Orthodox Bible

This is a superb New Testament version and an app that is packed with features. You can look up the text you want by jumping to specific chapters (so no need to scroll through millions of lines of text) or you can use the Orthodox lectionary feature that will tell you (and take you straight to) the readings for each feast/saint day. Roll on Greek version and Old Testament please!!

Would be a 5 star if it had the Old Testament

Unable to reopen it

I love it!!! The translation makes so much more sense!!! In the NKJV (which is used for the New Testament in the Orthodox Study Bible) it says "a smoking flax he will not quench" That makes no sense. In the Eastern Orthodox Bible, it says: "He will not put out a smoking wick" That is much clearer and much more easier to understand!!!

I love that this is available for iPhone. The only complain currently is that the Orthodox Lectionary isn't available on the app... It says "no text available" or something like that when you try to open it. This would be an amazing fix!

Brilliant Orthodox Bible. I particularly enjoy the Eastern Orthodox aesthetics and the clear translation of The New Testament. However, be warned that this Bible does not contain The Old Testament. There has been assurance the OT will be added at later date, but thus far that has not happened.
