Once you have found a charge point the app is very easy to use for starting and stopping a charge and for topping up your account. The search function to find a charge point is so bad that it seems deliberate. The map always opens somewhere down in the furthest reaches of the South Atlantic and the list option generates results that seem entirely random, apart from all having nothing to do with the requested search. It ought to be possible to do better.

Garbage app and garbage service. Use only if stuck.

The 150kw charger costs a lot more than the 50kw but it actually charges slower, at 40kwh? On the 50kwh it's like 49kw, madness

Let’s start with the positives. You can start and stop charging directly in the app. Simple but important feature. The terrible. It would be so little extra work to add a map showing all chargers. When travelling you don’t know the name or location of the town you want to stop at. You look at a map and pick a location half way. For some reason, this app doesn’t have that.

Charged an 8 euro penalty while charging at Luas stop. Nothing posted and nothing on app to notify. Complete money racket by ESB!

App not working

App is good but increasing the price of a KWH to nearly 60 cent is a joke, if the price doesnt come down during 2023 i will cancel my subscription with esb e cars and i will be selling my EV and going back to a petrol or diesel car.

At this stage we need charge curve and price in the charging screen , not just a time counter. Some kudos given on iOS app that is opens works and starts chargers fairly quickly. In 2022 it should follow a kempower example . Esb just not interested in leading or having a sexy app.

App does not give warning about penalty charge on fast chargers

Beware the first time you use this- the app does not tell you when changing finishes. You will be charged €8 overstay fee- which is a scam!
