Die Idee für eDrawings auf dem iPad gut -> Umsetzung eher weniger. Nach dem Öffnen der Dateien stürzt eDrawings sofort ab und ist nicht mehr zu gebrauchen.

With eDrawings® Pro you can create markups on your drawings, including text notes, freehand notations, dimensions, cross-section views, photos and camera snapshots.

Gute Alternative zur Desktopversion
Wer die Desktopversion kennt, wird hier alle wesentlichen Bestandteile wiederfinden. Tolle App, um zwischendurch oder auch unterwegs Konstruktionsdaten zu besprechen.
Question
Hello eDrawing team, Today i had bought the eDrawing Pro app for IPad. I have find out that the app had a problem to open large data files (aproxx over 17MB). I don`t have finde any troubleshooting or else for the question (clear maybe i wasn't not effective enough to find the solution). Do have more information about the maximum data file size for these app? For sure the other question is: Why i pay 11 EURO for this app and why they dosn`t open every data. Do you have an approach to solve this question? But in general I'm happy with the app. The open files work smoothly (up to 17MB, according to my previous experience). Measuring is a bit difficult and requires sensitiveness to select the desired points. There are still ways to improve this app, but it works well as a viewer of drawings. I am currently in contact with the eDrawings support and will change my rating accordingly. Update: The eDrawing support had contact me and expleined what´s the problem. The porblem isńt the size of the file, the problem is the complexity of the geometry of these file. And the app will running out of RAM memory. In the moment when i want to open these file no message appers, only the app close by self. I use the app with the iPad Pro 2. Generation. I will check the RAM usage if i open these file with a PC. But at the end this app is helpfule to check the drawing situation with the real situation.

Ich wollte eine CAD App haben um damit per IPad zu zeichnen und zu konstruieren. Bekommen habe ich einen Reader der nur fertige Zeichnungen liest und darstellt. Die Beschreibung war nicht eindeutig. Den Kauf kann man nicht rückabwickeln.
AR-Kit support would be nice
Nice tool, now with STEP support. The switch from QR Code AR to the new ios11 ARKit would be a really nice feature!
2018 solidworks wird nicht unterstützt!L

Sorry guys, what happenend to this app? Since the 2016 update nothing seems to work anymore. There's a major issue with the reference point (zero point) of easm files. It is nearly impossible to rotate a part, especially when you zoomed in before. That's because the app references to the original zero point of the easm file. This point might be far away from the part itself, so rotating a part can be very weird and sometimes nearly impossible. ALL THE PREVIOUS VERSIONS DID'T HAVE THIS ISSUE! There was some kind of a "auto zero point", depending on where you touched the part. Please fix that! I'm using this app to show 3D files to customers and I can not use the app anymore! In addition the markup feature has also a bug. In a cross-section view you can not mark up anything. The pen and the textbox do not work anymore. Something is wrong here! SLDDRW parts also can not be opened anymore. The app crashes everytime. I am using an iPad Pro 12,9".
Keine Layersteuerung bei DWG's
Hatte gehofft einen brauchbaren Viewer für 2D Dwg's zu finden welcher auch messen. Leider ist mit diesem Programm die Steuerung der Layer nicht möglich. Damit ist es für mich nutzlos.

Sorry, aber ein intuitives Tool sollte schon mehr können! Umschalten von Inch auf metrische Maße muss möglich sein. Die bemassungsfunktion ist nicht gut. Zehn Euro für nix?
