EEG Recorder Reviews

Cannot connect

When I saw the reviews from over a year ago saying that the software wouldn’t connect, I felt confident that that problem had been corrected by now. Certainly, they wouldn’t continue selling a product that was defective. I was wrong. Although I can get my headset to Connect with other apps, it will not connect with EEG Recorder. I would ask for my money back, but I can’t find a place to make that request.

Not connecting with Mindwave mobile 2.

I bought the neurosky mobile headset and also bought EEG recorder app. I haven’t been able to connect the mindwave headset to the EEG recorder. I can connect mindwave to other neurosky apps, but cannot connect to this app.

Great Tool

I downloaded this the instant I got MindWave for Christmas. I have generated a wealth of data regarding my brain activity. Data points in seconds, I work them up in Excel. Almost seamless, except the effort put forward in Excel. Now I just need to normalize my data. Thanks!!!

Problematic but promising.

After pairing my Neurosky Mindwave mobile headset to my IPhone, I recorded multiple sessions, and emailed them to myself. However, when I opened the data in excel, absolutely no information at all had been recorded. After re-pairing my phone and restarting the app (and after sending the files to myself) the app had still recorded no data! I was extremely disappointed. That said, the problem seems to be caused by looking at and/or sending stored data. Once that is access, the app fails to record data. The only way I've found to "fix" it is by forgetting the Mindwave and then re-pairing it with my iPhone (which is tedious but gets the job done). Overall, I don't know how accurately the app measures the EEG recordings, but anecdotally, in my own case, it seems to correlate with particular mental states. Lastly, it would be nice if instead of recording every second of elapsed time on the EEG excel file, it if instead recorded the exact time of day to the second.
