eGFR - La velocità di filtrazione glomerulare stimata è il test migliore per misurare il livello di funzionalità renale e determinare lo stadio della malattia renale. Il medico può calcolarlo in base ai risultati del test della creatinina nel sangue, alla tua età, corporatura e sesso. Il tuo GFR dice al tuo medico lo stadio della malattia renale e aiuta il medico a pianificare il trattamento. Se il tuo numero GFR è basso, i tuoi reni non funzionano come dovrebbero. Prima viene rilevata la malattia renale, maggiori sono le possibilità di rallentare o arrestare la sua progressione.
