The app won’t let me log in with either my MyAdventist login or my mobile number. I have had to change my password multiple times and the app still says I need to log in with my mobile. However, when I try, I receive an error message that the app is incompatible with multi factor authentication. The support team has been wholly unhelpful and at this point I am at my wits’ end. I am incredibly disappointed and unbelievably frustrated; this was supposed to make it easier for me to return tithes and offerings but it has caused me nothing but problems.
Constantly freezes and asks me to set up when I’ve done this numerous times. Please fix this as it’s so frustrating
Have been using the app for years, but still struggle each time to use it because I don’t find it intuitive to get to the page I want. Particularly getting to and from the “Your Gifts” page to the “Select Planned Giving” page. Found the old version much easier to figure out. When using the “Quick Give” option, it is not clear whether funds are being allocated as tithe or offering. The description “Give a gift to the ministry of the church you are attending” makes it sound like the gift will go to the “local church ministry” of the selected church. It wasn’t until I received the receipt that I realised my donation had been allocated as tithe, which was not what I intended.
Resending this request. Surely now you consider that this request needs to be available. Our church treasurer has also asked that this request be accepted and included in the egiving app. But still no evidence of it being incorporated into the app. Please please please consider it important. Thanks. I have a donation ready to pay from my bank account rather than a credit card (we have a Family Trust). I can’t see that I can include a selection of a bank account within the app, for the funds to be transferred from. I would say many members would rather pay from a bank account than a credit card. One of my reasons is the church would get less after paying credit card fees on the donation. I look forward to a super quick update. Thanks. Ah. Found. I can use a bank account via the web page egiving.org.au Let us all know that you have plans to include bank accounts and BPay in the app. Thanks. Can you at least respond by saying your app does need additional facilities for multiple bank accounts to use for the payment. This has been mentioned many times but NIL response. Thank you Colin Spain Past Ass Treasurer WPUM
I have not been able to use this app for quite some time now as it will not accept my credit card details. It is supposed to make paying back my tithe easier. When the problem first occurred I asked for assistance and no one could fix the issue. I deleted the app and have left it for at least 6 months and nothing has changed.
The update doesn’t recognise your old account if you’ve used Facebook. SMS Verification code doesn’t work either - despite typing the correct code. I’ll loose my old information an account by setting up a new one with a new email - but that’s just first world problems.
Wherever there is a long summary of what the account is for you can’t scroll down to the field to enter an amount - it flicks back to the top. So I can not for instance pay to “sundown sessions”. To add multiple amounts you have to click on “+ more options” in tiny print to add each one. Not obvious. The app looks great, but is more difficult to use, less intuitive, and functionality (credit card only) decreased. As a computer programmer for many years I’ve got to give this App a fail. The suggestion given to comments about direct debit in reviews to “use web site” just reflects an attitude that shows how great the fail really is.
There is no button for decimal point on the iPhone app so I can give exact amount of my tithes. I’m a casual worker so my pays are not always the same amount. So I always just round it to the nearest dollar when returning tithes because can’t enter dot for cents as there are no options for it on the key pad.
I have downloaded the app for the first time and am pleased to see it is picking up info from my previous usage set up on computer. Is it possible to have the giving history set up in reverse so that the most recent is at the top and I don’t have to scroll down heaps to find it? Thanks
