Electric Miles Reviews

Always the same with Updates

BearRidge on

I can, without fail, tell you when the app has been updated with some fancy new feature that I don’t need. Why? Because every time you touch it, it stops working, disconnects without reason, clears all the data and I usually has issues connecting it or everything needs setting up again.

Software Problems….

fil6656 on

I Have a Project EV. Charger, EM has updated their software which hasn’t been good at all. After a number of emails backwards and forwards I finally got help. A lady from the help desk rang and we went through all the settings and found some how a strange email address had landed in the section where my email should have been. The big problem was my changer was showing OFFLINE. And there was no way to Bring it back on line. It all turns out that this strange email address was the big problem. Anyway all is sorted and I got my car fully changed last night The lady who rang was great she new the App inside out . Well done EM

Awful

App has reset and most all connection to my charging point. Have tried to reconnect to my charger and does not let me. Need to charge my car for a trip and now can’t. Horrendous app

Charger Not Working

Solo_Symphony on

Since the last update the app can’t find my charger, won’t let me re add my charger and so is now unusable.

Absolutely rubbish

Tringblue on

My charger was so reliable until this app was introduced. Every single time the app is updated the car fails to charge because I’ve been logged out. The app is set up to run a smart charge during the night on my EV tariff. Yet again it started and stopped within a minute. Hit the boost button in the morning and it works. Totally garbage software

Updated version removed important feature!

Until the other day I could simply schedule a charge based on my choosing of the start time and the length of the charge. Now you have to measure it by either cost or power and END time. If you have an overnight off peak rate it no longer lets you schedule your own start and end times. Why remove choice?

All style but no substance

Whilst in the face of it the app looks good, fairly intuitive too that’s as far as it goes for me. So the biggest thing is the whole smart charging setup- I want to just schedule a 4 hour charge for the same time every night but no, it doesn’t have that option. I either need to fiddle about with smart charge settings every day to ensure I don’t charge over peak times or I need to schedule a charge every day. And to add to the annoyance, the schedule has been moved into the boost option, meaning more clicks to do this every single day. Can we please have an option to just leave the set scheduled charge that stays on daily?!

Utterly Useless

Gilbit on

So unreliable as to be completely worthless. I set up manual charging for 4 hours overnight but it charged for 29 mins despite car battery having capacity for at least 4 hours’ charging. Switched to smart charging for the same period and it stopped after 30 mins. Boost works after a fashion but only drawing 15 amps when it should have been 30. This is the second time I have used the app, the first in 2022. Layout is intuitive and clear but reliability is simply not there. It scores 10/10 for unreliability, so at least that is a positive.

Second (terrible) review.

The app’s basic charge recording functionality doesn’t work. It shows all charging sessions as “one big session” making reconciling your charging spend with your journeys impossible. I have wasted far too much of my life trying to get this resolved with the developers appalling “support” team and decided to contact my charger manufacturer (Project EV) to see what influence it could bring. (None, in case you’re interested). I’m almost at the point of replacing my home charger because this app is so poor. If the charger you plan to buy relies on this app, don’t buy it under any circumstances.

Very prompt response

I needed a bit of help with creating my account on the new app. I couldn’t find the model EVA and I wasn’t able to enter my code but Gayatri sorted it all very quickly. I had been worried about doing the transfer but in the end it was pretty painless.
