Description

NEW & REDESIGNED! To better help you study for and pass the NREMT exam, we have redesigned EMT PASS to include smaller topical review questions and two summative final exams. All questions have been revised and updated to provide for the best learning experience.
Topical review tests include sections on Airway, Cardiology, Medical, Trauma, Operations, OB & Pediatrics. All review tests include a detailed written rationale to help you better understand the answer and how to interpret an NREMT style question.
Once you are ready to test your readiness and challenge your stamina, move on to the two simulated 120-question NREMT exams in the test section.
Still the tough, high-quality questions you have come to expect from Bill Brown, former executive director of the NREMT, the redesigned EMT PASS will prepare you like no other for passing your certification exam.

Do not recommend in the slightest

I have been using this app to study for my upcoming NREMT exam and this app has done nothing but make me second guess myself on almost everything. There have been multiple times that I have answered a question to get it wrong, to then come across the same question again later and get it wrong again because the correct answer changed from when I saw it the first time. Not only that but I have come across multiple typos and grammatical errors on this app as well. I know that sounds extremely critical but if I’m spending money on this app I expect much better than that. I KNOW MY STUFF but this app is making me feel otherwise.

It’s debatable…

This app is good for practice, however I feel a lot of things contradict what I have previously learned in the classroom. It’s a double edged sword because you get to learn more but at the same time it makes you doubt a lot of what you actually know. One big problem I have is the misspelling in some of the questions, it makes me wonder how much effort was really put into such an expensive app and how accurate it can really be if some of the words are not spelled correctly.

I eventually enjoyed using this app to study.

When I first began EMT everyone recommended both this app and EMS Pocket prep. I will admit at first I liked pocket prep more and I still recommend it. The questions on this one just seemed more difficult and I couldn’t understand them. Eventually I decided I’m going conquer this app and really focus on why the answers are the way the app explains them. When it finally clicks then you will understand. I’m a decent test taker when I can memorize key words but the NREMT isn’t like that. I think in the end this app helped me a lot. I ended up passing on my first try.

Suboptimal study tool overall but some good questions

I can tell you that I’m a pretty good test taker and know how to get top scores. The most important thing is to have a deep understanding of the concepts like the whys and hows. This app does have a few good questions that force you to think about the different processes of the underlying condition but a lot of the explanations are inadequate in that regard and just say things like “this question is really hard, you’d pass if you got this one right”. The explanations also sometimes are entirely mismatched with the question. For example, one question explained that loss of potassium pump was the main cause of cell death but the question was asking what was the main cause of hypoxia. If you really want to do well and know the content well, study pathophysiology. It’s really easy to remember what the symptoms are for a given medical condition if you understand how it works. If you know what the main benefit or action of the different treatments it’s pretty easy to figure out when and why you need to use certain treatments in certain cases. Yes, there is some brute memorization still like for dosage, but this way it’s fairly minimal.

Save your money!

I don’t even know where to start with this. For a man who is highly respected in this field, it absolutely befuddles me how this app is a pure mess. - Expect handful of questions involving things that aren’t in the textbook. - Questions with irrelevant material that you won’t be tested on. - Poorly designed questions, and answers - Contradicting answers - Limited number of questions, and tests for an app that is $29.99 All in all, save your money, and don’t make the mistake I did. This app has a 3.5 rating for a reason.

So far I’m very happy with this app.

I was one of the misfortunate few that received a failure email after my NREMT, which really really sucked, but I decided to look at it as a detour, not a final destination. I studied A LOT before my NREMT, and did well during my entire course, but I was totally caught off guard by the NREMT question vocabulary and style, and even though I was a whisper away from passing it, close enough doesn’t count. After the test I had a lot of difficulty finding material that felt like the NREMT style, and so far this was the closest thing I’ve found. It feels almost exact really, and I feel it describes the NREMT mindset really well. Apps like EMT Prep are great if you struggle with the concepts, but that app didn’t feel like it did anything to prepare me for how the NREMT was going to be. I’m not to the finish line yet, but this app sure has helped me feel a lot more confident again. I’m thankful for that.

Pocket prep way better.

Immediately downloaded this app after failing first attempt. This is my first written review EVER so take that for what it’s worth. This app was worth every penny. Top 3 investment by a long shot.

Helped me pass NREMT

The questions on this app are challenging which is good because it makes the NREMT seem easier. Overall good app.

Absolutely a waste

Do not buy this, I just wasted $30, many of the questions and answers are absolutely wrong and will cause you to fail the NREMT if you use the information. I’m so upset that I wasted money on this app. 10/10 do not recommend
