Larousse English French Dictionary
This app is exactly what I was looking for but it constantly crashes when you try to listen to translations. I am using it on an iMac running Big Sur OS. I bought it as it was an acceptable price but it is a waste of money with this compatibility problem.
Please fix the pronunciation
Great dictionary, useful phrases and every single word hyperlinked - so useful! The ‘speaker’ icons have stopped working again. I can see this raised 2 years ago. Please fix what is otherwise a great app! Still usually the first app I go to when stuck though.
Keeps crashing
Soon as try to play word through speaker crashes immediately please fix because before was the best App I had!!!!!
Crashes
It was fantastic till a recent fix-now it crashes whenever you try to hear the word in English or French. Previously it was outstanding, 10 star, but in using to teach a child, the spoken language is imperative. Please fix again to regain full marks. Thank you.
crashes on latest IOS version
was a really good app but on the latest version of IOS trying to play the sound/pronunciation crashes the app. Translations still work so useful but less valuable
Excellent and great value
I searched for a while for a dictionary that has a wide vocabulary, examples of use, conjugations and pronunciations. Those I looked at where either very expensive (£20-£25) or free with drawbacks (limited vocabulary or intrusive advertising). This Larousse does exactly what I need and is a fair price.
Larousse English - French Dictionary.
An excellent resource. Plenty of examples given for each word to permit context-learning. The sound option really allows you to embed the right sounds as part of your learning.
Good app
For an advanced beginner. Plenty of examples of the language in use. Easy to navigate.
Loss of audio a real pain!
For goodness sake can you please sort out the loss of audio/prononciation on this app. It negates 50% of its usefulness! Come on Larousse...
