Epson Datacom Reviews

Useless. Can’t do more than one line on a wire wrap.

The PX700 and PX900 can both do multi-line wire wrap labels. The LW-PX400 cannot. This is craziness.

Still needs vertical repeating text

Update: Vertical text is now implemented but spacing between lines is excessive. Keep working on it! Though LW-600P is discontinued, it still works reliably and I still use it. 5 yr old review: I echo the lament of the previous reviewer. A lot of the labeling I do requires repeated text oriented 90 degrees on the tape. Epson, fix this and you'll sell more consumables. As an early adopter of the LW-600P, this is the prime reason it sits on the shelf instead of being used as intended.

Custom patch panels

No vertical text printing!!!!

Review of 2nd version. I was happy to see the vertical text toggle in this update. But I was let down as soon as I went to the preview window. One letter or digit per line on the vertical text label. It would perfect if you could put multiple digits vertically across the width of the label. First review. I currently use the brother p-touch edge for my cable labels. On an average project I have 200+ cables to label and 95% of them are vertical text, repeating wrap. I purchased this because of the Datacom app ability but it doesn't offer this common feature. I'm hoping there is an update soon to expand the features. To take it one step further add the margin adjustments that are offered in the Epson iLabel app, wasted tape is another downfall of the p-touch.
