I bought the pro version and I have NEVER gotten it to work at all! I feel like I’ve been scammed! And when you hit the help email it doesn’t contain an address to send complaints to! I’m furious at these people. You scam this hard with a broken app just to steal $5 from me??? You’re insane.
Free version was pretty good so I bought the paid version which didn’t work. I’m going to request a refund.
Paid for the pro version. Does not work. Cannot download the pro without payment which was done thru the regular app without paying another $4.99 fee. Thanks for nothing. Found a better app.
This app worked fine for my first two books but now when it’s reading aloud it skips pages or only reads the first page of each chapter. I had high hopes but now I’m bummed.
It works perfectly imports massive books in seconds. Text to speech (TTS) works great! I am on my 7th book already. The app is very robust and stable. There is a huge demand for a perfect app that can do TTS as well as this app does. People that benefit are dyslexics, people that learn how to speak/read English and other languages, people on the go & me. 🤓 It would be nice to have better sounding voices. Amazon Polly or Google Wavenet voice would be amazing! 😉 I would pay a subscription fee, simply because there is a huge demand for a naturally sounding book reader. Believe me, many other people would also pay, libraries, schools with kids with special needs. Audible is a huge market imagine cornering small piece of that market with a naturally sounding TTS book reader. Right price and a well-executed strategy with incremental updates can be a game changer!
Used to work wonderfully. Recently, crashes every time you click on a book. If you uninstall and reinstall it stops crashing for a short while.
I’d love to see my titles but it shows them as blank or another cover
The only thing that works in this app is the nag to buy Audible and the limitations on the number of books you can read...the latter without actually downloading the books in question! Though it did manage to download two random other books from the source in question, and duplicate one of the sample public domain books. It was unable to actually read a book aloud, however (which I’m researching on behalf of my mother). And not only doesn’t it do anything more than iBooks does, it doesn’t even do THAT. But hey, you can buy the “pro” version to do nothing even more extensively! It’s not user failure; I’m an experienced user and in fact programmer. And it’s not reluctance to pay five bucks for the “pro” version; when I find the right app, I’ll be buying my mom an iPad to run it on, too. This thing just plain doesn’t work.
I tried first with an ePub book and it didn’t load. I tried again and it still didn’t word. Finally, I tried with a pdf file and I got the same results. I’m deleting this app.
