Erin Resident App Reviews

Doesn't Even Startup

Force closes on both mine and my Husbands' phones. We also never signed up for this app to begin with. It was forwarded to our email addresses...

Bad notifications and impossible to lodge apartment maintenance requests

djncify on

Australia

Lodging apartment maintenance requests is no longer supported in the app. There used to be an option to lodge them, but now that option isn’t shown and, when trying to lodge one, you must select a ‘common area’. Moreover, the history of previously submitted apartment maintenance requests isn’t shown anymore. Also, the notifications section is a pain. Once you open a notification, you can’t go back to the list as you were reviewing. It sends you straight back to the Home Screen, which makes checking notifications very complicated and makes you miss the notification you had just seen, so you might click it again.

If I had a choice I would not use it.

There is a review from two years ago that lists a set of issues - nothing has changed (e.g. passwords not integrated with keychain). The maintenance function only allows items to be entered and then you can not edit them and there doesn’t seem to be ability to attach notes.

Smart Technology

Erin resident app is super easy to navigate, and has the capacity to expand its services based upon the needs of its users. It is intuitive, helpful and an essential tool for the ‘time poor’ apartment resident.

Finally! An app for my building!

I’ve lived in apartments for over 5 years now and finally someone has done something about it! Easy to use, user friendly and all in all, a great service!

Great app. Makes life much easier.

Before introduced to Erin app, we used to get physically fob/key from the building manger to access rooftop kitchen. Now, we have smart access, it makes apartment living much more convenient. Love the building info/document feature, smart parcel locker and key contacts. Keep up the good work!

Great app

Very easy to use, integration of parcel lockers is super convenient.

Great app, easy to use

Helps me manage any interactions with management easily/centrally and keeps me aware of building happening through notifications (as I never remember to check physical notice board).

Woeful UX, dubious reliability

Doesn’t seem like an experienced team is behind this app.

Feels like an early alpha

PROS: - Looks nice if you don’t use it for more than a couple of minutes - ??? CONS: - Unclear password requirements - Passwords don’t store in keychain - Login sessions arbitrarily reset, meaning you are booted out to a password you don’t remember in an app you rarely use with infuriating regularity - Push notifications contain no useful information and more often than not don’t link anywhere useful - Lists of prior notifications don’t click through anywhere useful either - Interactions are generally sluggish and prone to repeating on you (tap item A, B, C, receive item C then item A 5 times 20 seconds later) - Alerts and documents sometimes come through in the app as DOCX files?! What conceivable use is that to me on a phone?!? - Chat feature is unreliable with history (arbitrarily resets, splits chats, etc) - Tickets submitted about building or apartment issues randomly vanish - Screens showing submitted tickets truncate text at single line Was this tested for more than 30 minutes? And by more than one person?
