Erskine Afro Cuban Essentials

This is the best a afro cuban play along ever! Trust me, it is not only for drums also for bass/percussion/piano 'cause you can totally practise your ideas without being disrurbed with instrumentation bledding. Every chanel is really clean. Also this is the only playalong on the market for drumers to play along with an authentic flavoursome piano/bass/congas LATIN section. When I first read the Title I thought....this must be another one of those gringo version of latin salsa thangy! I was So wrong, Piano/bass/and congas are played so tastefully withn this style that it becomes a comping tutorial on its on for those wondering piano player wondering what to do. If you listen to the section the players are not just playing whatever feel or jazzing it up or as we say beeing themselver, they played for the style! Highlly recomend this app for anyoned serious in practising cubas music

Does not play on Iphone 14 Pro Max

The email chart option doesn’t work, the app freezes and shuts down randomly during playback on different songs. Was also under the assumption that the charts were fully notated (was advised this by the creator of the app) however, the charts are not fully notated. Just a chord chart with a few guide tones. To be honest, very dissatisfied with it. Shouldn’t have purchased it.

I'm a huge fan of the idea of play along apps for percussionists to learn how to play over changes and get a feel for phrasing. This current offerings falls short of the previous two play along apps from Fuzzy Music as some of the play along tracks have either been sped up using Pro Tools and show glaring tempo problems in the accompanying ensemble (not to mention feeling a wee bit off the click). I have an enormous amount of respect for the musicians here, but this offering yields a modest effort, at best. Revision: the more I try and work with this app, the more it's clear that this is just not something that is of a professional, nor even semi-pro, quality. Complete rubbish.

I love the fact that I can play my drums along with this hot band but sometimes the songs pitching change suddenly and that would take me off the groove. After I play two songs in a raw the app will automaticly shut down and have to restart it again. They need to do something about that. Besides those problems I love it. They should add more tracks to purchase if it is neccesary. Afro Cuban music rules!!

This app has endless practice and teaching applications. I love the whole line of Petter Erskine apps!!

This should be clearly stated for an app this pricey. It stutters on the iPhone 4 which works perfectly well with other music apps I own. Very disappointed.
