Essential Cocktails

I used the Steve’s free App not on iPhone. Recently bought an iPhone and this App. The first things I noticed: 1. Not all cocktails from the Steve’s channel are there. I’d rather say a few cocktails are. 2. There’s no way to search by ingredient. 3. “My bar" feature is buggy. It turns out that using the Steve’s book is a better idea for me.

I’ve been watching Steve the Bartender’s videos for years and keeping a list of my favorites of his cocktails. His new app blows away my manually kept list. My favorites are right there along with a bit of history on the origins of the cocktail and Steve’s video showing how to make it. My favorite feature of the app is the ability to click on his extensive list of ingredients to replicate what you have on hand in your own bar, which creates a list of all the cocktails you are able to make right now. Home run Steve! Thank you!

Love this app, but I haven’t seen some of my favorites like Kentucky mule and peach schnapps. So 4/5 stars with little improvement.

Great app! Very innovative! If you have a home bar, this is a really good go to for cocktails. The app still needs some work, but I highly recommend it along with Steve’s book.

Between the channel and the app. Cocktail hour at our house is never the same. Outstanding variety absolutely love it. Easy to follow. Keep them coming.

This is a great cocktail App. It’s well organized. There’s a section where all kinds of recipes are listed that link to a video showing you how to make it. In addition to listing the ingredients you’ll need for the cocktail, there’s a short paragraph of the cocktail’s origin/history. There’s another section in the App where you can check off which ingredients you have on hand and then that page will populate with all the cocktails you could make with the ingredients you have on hand. Another nice feature is that when looking at any ingredient in a recipe, you can swipe on that ingredient, and the App will list all the cocktails that use that ingredient. You can then either go back to your original recipe or select one of the new recipes from the list. There’s also a section to keep all your favorite recipes. There’s a few more bells and whistles too, but the ones I’ve listed are the ones I found most helpful. And then, perhaps most importantly, the recipes are good. All the standard classics are there plus lots I’ve never tried, but am eager to sample. All in all a great App, well thought out and pretty inexpensive considering what you get. 🤫

As a viewer of Steve’s YouTube channel, this app is a nice, convenient, and simple reference for the cocktail recipes. The app will show which drinks can be make based on the contents of the bar. Recipes will play the corresponding video! Well done Steve and app developers!

Thanks Steve and team. I love having these recipes right at my fingertips. No more having to scroll through Pinterest and put up with all the ads! The navigation is user friendly and I appreciate the different options to access certain drink recipes or to try new ones with what I already have on hand. Well worth $4.99 and better yet - no data collection. You guys are great! (Insert Steve smile here 😃)
