I didn’t have any problem with the log in. Perhaps because I had a previous EV account on the web. I would lose the stream when the screen locked. Easy to fix by changing the lock time to Never. Not the optimal solution, though. Would love to have an AppleTV app!

Updated December 6 Waste of time This is ruining biathlon coverage and EVERYONE involved should be embarrassed! Still constant struggles with AirPlay and with everything updated and restarted it kicks out constantly. The worst is that it appears to be BOTH the app and the AirPlay taking turns to stop. AirPlay is an unreliable medium for watching live sports on a television. If you spend money to earn broadcast rights make apps for Firestick Roku etc. because watching sports on a small mobile device is pointless. Users are all complaining and it’s been since January with no legitimate improvement except to say update app and we’ve been working on it. Garbage is destroying the sport Updated 3/17 Trash trash embarrassed for whoever the F EurovisionSport is Ads work fine but as everyone expected and experiences AirPlay is completely broken IBU and national federation has been made aware but only national cares to respond and understand it’s a problem - guess IBU got their money and to heck with the few fans they have remaining trying desperately to watch their sport Old app was tedious but consistently worked and we could actually stream to tv or airplay with minimal issues New app is awful to navigate, frequently makes you sign in 2-3 times if you use menu to go to a specific sport and airplay or streaming to tv barely works and when it does it repeatedly cuts off after a few minutes with NO CONTINUE WATCHING ability - have to start all over I hope these sports (biathlon) realize how this trash app and experience is reducing eyeballs on their sport that desperately needs to increase fans not lose them

Edit 5 Dec 2024: according to the analytics logs, the app is being terminated by iOS because it’s using too much cpu when running in the background. It appears to work fine when the screen is on and the app is in the foreground. But when the device goes to sleep, the app dies 48 seconds later. So if you want to use Airplay, keep the device from going to sleep somehow? Same outcome when plugged in and on battery. iOS 18.1.1 Edit 2 Dec 2024: Response to developer’s response: I tried watching the replay of the first event of the biathlon World Cup season. I connected with Airplay, and the race hadn’t even started yet before the app crashed. I appreciate the effort though. Original review: Airplay constantly cuts out after a few minutes and causes the app to crash. Then I have to restart the app, re-find the video I was watching (see below for more on that), and then find where I was in the video because the app doesn’t keep track for me. For the short time airplay is working, trying to rewind the video at all makes the playback hiccup every few seconds. Navigating the sports/events is a big pain. I have to scroll past sports I don’t care about (you made me create an account, why I can’t I specify that I just want to watch biathlon?), scroll past upcoming events (I’ll watch those 3 weeks from now when they actually happen), then find the particular video I want (again, I have an account, why can’t you keep track of what I’ve watched and make it easy to find what’s next?) None of that would be a dealbreaker if it weren’t for Airplay crashing, but since I have to do it all 4 times just to get through one video, it gets old.

Update to my previous review - much better now Last year was an absolute nightmare but seems to work well now including AirPlay 🤞🏻 Four stars only because of previous experience but hopefully now it will keep working 🤞🏻 It’s working now so please don’t do any updates anymore ( last year every update made it worse )

I have spent two hours trying to get in, validated Internet address and then get an unauthorized message. Tried to reset my password and it goes into a loop and then 20 minutes later the app tells me that password reset timed out. I just want to watch Biathlon, not fight your app.

I, a big fan of biathlon, downloaded this app, with high hopes. I booted it up and clicked on the video. It asked me to make an account, so I did. I pressed it again, and it asked me to make an account. Please fix this bug.

Tried the latest app to AirPlay some video to my LG C8, and every time video playback error on the stream. Total joke. It’s been over a year of this nonsense.

Either fix it or scrap it. The money you make with ads can’t be worth how many users you’ve lost.

There are ongoing problems with AirPlay streaming. The video will buffer briefly before restarting from the beginning and entering a seemingly endless cycle of restarts. This happens repeatedly every 15 minutes or so throughout a particular video, preventing a smooth watching experience. Frustrating that these issues continue to persist months after the redesign.

This app is complete trash. It’s not intuitive to use, crashes often, and is full of glitches. The most recent update allows for ads to play before you watch any video, which makes sense because nothing good comes for free and you have to invest in a product to make it better… except this app is nowhere near good and only gets worse with time. Really disappointed there isn’t another way to watch biathlon in the US.
