The app is poor to say the least, schedule doesn’t always update even when you save it. You have to manually start a charge and then stop it otherwise 9 times out of 10 it won’t start scheduling. Very annoying to get up in the morning and realise the car hasn’t charged. Get a different charger if you have any sense!

I do not recommend

I’ve been trying to use this app in Schedule mode for months now. Very occasionally it will work but most of the time nothing happens. I’ve tried reinstalling it several times but no joy. I need to set it to come on overnight for off-peak electricity but always end up switching it manually the following morning. Extremely frustrating.

Whilst i’ve had this installed it’s charged fine as long as you use manual turn-on / turn-off The scheduling mode can at best be described as hit or miss . Scheduling has to work, as it’s the best way to get the cheap electricity that most Elec companies offer between midnight and 06:00. The fact you’re also not able to set a number of Kw to charge is a puzzle !! All that being said great value as a first charger

Terrible, basic & unreliable. Impossible to schedule charging on the app. This charger is not built for scheduling. Would be better if they stuck to it being a dummy charger that charges on demand. Even when trying to control via the app to manual charge it was still impossible. Having the charger removed and another brand installed. Save yourself the hassle and money and avoid EVEC.

Simple to use and worked straight away with the charger

We had this installed and set up for us a few months ago which was easy. It can take a while for it to start once you click enable, and I do feel like the button could be more obvious to click. It’s more like a press and hold on the app rather than just tapping it once, I think if the colouring was different this would help to know it has been pressed enough. Apart from this it has only failed to start overnight once and I think this was a network issue. We were almost persuaded to upgrade to a different model but I’m glad we didn’t as this is a great little thing and I’d take it over public charging any day.

Quite a simple app with everything you need that works very well. Similar to the EVEC charger, great charger and app for the price.

Just got mine installed today, it took like 5mins after it’s been plugged in before it kicks in to charge!!! And the engineer that fitted it couldn’t understand what the delay was and rang customer service only for them to say that’s how it’s going to be, so if you want it in schedule give it extra 5 mins before it kicks in… the App is also very basic. I was expecting more that the app will show you how much each charge costs and works with your smart meter!!!

It seems to be working functionality, but some settings sections still have test place markers. There is a field for IP address and it’s place-marker says ‘current not set’ Would be handy to have some settings to be able to turn off the led’s, as they are very bright, just switching off on mains for now when not using.
