No Realistic Backup Option

Skywok on

That the developer did not add the ability for users to backup to iCloud completely defeats the purpose of GTD. The core idea is that a system must be reliable. The dev could still charge a fee to sync across devices. I’d be happy to pay a fee to buy this app, however not an expensive yearly sync fee just to have some kind of backup, when all I want is to use on one device. It’s a shame as this app has a lot of potential.

The purest implementation of GTD I have found

El Presidenteh on

If you want a GTD app that works like David Allen’s book says, this app is for you. I have tried Omnifocus and other apps but eventually got frustrated when they fell down with certain GTD aspects. (I also tried Nirvana - which was reasonably pure GTD - but was put off by the poor iOS support.) All the core GTD concepts are supported, and there is also a license available which lets you use it on multiple devices, with an Encrypted sync service (see the developers website). These cost a little more, but it allows me to have my lists on two PCs (work and personal), my iPad and my iPhone. It has taken me a while to set up Everdo in the best way for myself - partly this is practicing and understanding GTD better all the time - but it has been gradually life changing, keeping me sane at work and in my personal life as I always have my personal management system with me. Thank you Andrei and Intellation!!!
