Every Moment Holy presents new liturgies for the ordinary events of daily life, taken from the best-selling books, Every Moment Holy Vol. 1 and Every Moment Holy Vol. 2: Death, Grief, and Hope. Liturgies within the app are grouped in small sets according to purpose. These prayers are ways of reminding us that our lives are shot through with the sacred purpose even when, especially when, we are too busy or too caught up in our busyness to notice.
The app’s unique sharing features allows the user to highlight favorites and share portions of liturgies on social media channels as well sharing full liturgies via a link system so that the prayers can be read together with others who do not own the book or app.

How much does Every Moment Holy cost?
Every Moment Holy has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is $30.00.
The content is beautiful. I own the hardback books. Why would the creators want to make the digital content impossible to access long term? Why would you make shared liturgies only available for 24 hours? Shouldn’t you be most interested in sharing the Word as freely and generously as possible?
Disappearing content
I actually love the liturgy and the content (I actually own the books as well). The content I purchased, however, was quickly unavailable and I am being asked to purchase it again.
As it stands, I would caution you against investing money in the app.
Please restore the one-time purchase option
I would like to purchase these liturgies, but not as a subscription.
App Issues
Love the idea of the app, have the books, and really enjoy those. Unfortunately, the app will not stay open, it keeps auto closing.
A Liturgy for the Loss of My Favorite Liturgies
In the description for volume I, it says “(Note that collections for Table Blessing, the Hours, and Liturgies of the Moment are part of Volume I, but are included with the app for free.)”
Apparently they are neither part of volume I NOR included with the app for free!!!!! :(
I purchased volume I before you added the subscription nonsense but now the Table Blessings and Hours liturgies are locked behind the subscription and I cannot access them even though I paid for them when I bought volume I! I hope this is a bug and not intentional. I am bummed in general about you moving to subscriptions but I guess that is where the world is going. Thank you for the lovely liturgies and the decent app. Please in volume 4 add a “Liturgy Before Leaving Angry Feedback” because that’s what I need.
So disappointed!
I own a hardback copy of volume I, which I enjoy occasionally. I purchased volume II on this app, and have loved the easy accessibility of the digital format which I use very often. I was eagerly waiting for the opportunity to purchase a digital copy of volume III. But now I have been robbed of that joy since I am unwilling to purchase the book over and over year after year. Please consider returning this app to single event purchases. The subscription approach is a big mistake!
So disappointed!
I purchased volume 1 years ago when it first came out. Then I purchased dozens to give as gifts. Since then, I bought both volumes digitally as well as the pocket edition and gift editions. Over the years, I have spent several hundreds of dollars on the first two volumes alone in gifts and NOW I can no longer access the digital volumes that I paid for because of an exorbitant subscription based app! I think this is unethical. I would like a refund of the digital purchase of volume 1 and 2, but I’m sure that won’t happen.
Beautiful Book, Non-Functional App
I own Every Moment Holy Volume I and am thrilled that they now have an app; I’ve often wondered how I might use the liturgies they’ve written that highlight the holy in the mundane when I’m unable to haul their book with me everywhere. Problem solved! And so many of the liturgies are available for free with the app! How kind. The reason for 3 stars: The app has a lovely “favorites” feature that I planned to use as a bookmark for the liturgies I wanted to use more regularly. Yesterday I marked them and today they are gone, error message “no favorite liturgy available”. Hope the bug can be fixed easily, as this is a helpful feature that will increase my likelihood of using the app daily.
Please Add Landscape Format
Awesome liturgies, but for my ministry context, I need the app to work in both portrait & landscape orientations. Thanks in advance, I’ll increase my rating (& purchase both e-volumes) when this is done.
Books great! App not my favorite.
The books are great! Easy 5 stars to the books! The app, however, is painful to use and definitely doesn't add much to the experience.
My two main suggestions are:
- You have to log in and signing in on one device signs out of others. At least two should be supported (phone and iPad in my case)... but really I don't see why signing in is required at all.
- It's cumbersome to scroll through liturgies as you have to first "open" a section. If I know where I'm going it's not a big deal (though the "open" button is very small on iPad), but it would be really nice to just be able to scroll through everything. In general, navigation is clunky.
