I am really enjoying this app overall but it needs some tweaking. Mainly the Connected game, it’s honestly just not very good. I play the online Connections game daily and I can solve it probably 95% of the time, but on this app I’m only getting it right every now and then. They often seem to be thrown together with random words that have a vague connection. Other than that I am liking it, there are a lot of ads but it’s free to play so that comes with the territory.
An ad per game is frustrating.
Would like to buy this out right so I get no ads thank you.
I enjoyed the app at first, but then I got ads every time I opened the app, opened a new puzzle, completed a puzzle, wanted a hint, pretty much anywhere that wasn’t directly involved in a puzzle. I did like the options but there was just too many ads. On top of this, not all but a few of the puzzles had abstract and really difficult questions which if you get wrong you are told you lost and you can’t redo the puzzle. And if you do they give you the exact same question. It’s ridiculous. It is also really laggy. I’m not saying you shouldn’t give it a try but heed the warning that you may not enjoy it.
This is a page that I could really enjoy but ads ads ads and more ads spoil what could be a challenging and enjoyable game experience. I do understand the need for ads but more ad time than game time is just not acceptable. See ya!
I adore this game and play it daily, but the new Connected game is really not done well. I just had one that included Amphibians, Chameleons, King cobras, Constrictor, Anaconda, and Rattlesnake in the hints, and the answers were “Mammals and Reptiles” (of which there were only reptiles) and “Rainforest”. I also play the NYT Connections daily so I’m used to the game style, but it’s just badly put together.
A lot of clues in the crosswords only relate to Americans and I have never heard of these people or TV shows. Too many ads as well.
Using a free version I expect an advertisement between each game, but I also have to watch one if I hit the home button, then another one when selecting a game. That’s two ads between games. I gave up.
I love this app and use it everyday! I just wish there was a way to see how you can earn all the badges as I see people getting badges like the white flag and slow and steady but have no idea how to get them :(
The range of puzzles is good, a few can be challenging at times. I totally understand and support having ads to keep the game free but … (1) the banner ads at the top of the page cover some of the game so you can’t see or press the buttons. (2) the ads in between games to increase levels or get more coins more nearly always over 1/2 minute long with multiple pages that have to be clicked to get back to the game. I play plenty of games where you can exit out of the ad with one click after about 10 seconds. Those other games generate enough money so why does this game need to be so greedy?
