The app is a great idea but I’m disappointed at the amount of products that are not listed

I love the idea of the app but find that so many things I’m searching, are not in the app. Especially Canadian products and lines.

I disagree with the rating of synthetic fragrance on this review site. EWG he’s not highlighting the fact that there are mystery ingredients in synthetic fragrances. These mystery ingredients include formaldehyde, styrene, parabens, phthalates, synthetic musks and the list goes on. These ingredients are in fact dangerous to humans when exposed on a regular basis, especially in self care products. They contain endocrine disruptors, which are directly linked to mental health issues like depression and ADHD. Endocrine disruptors also contribute to poor physical health. They can cause inflammation, cancers, and other auto immune disorders. The public trusts EWG as a source for choosing product, so I hope that this database puts a stronger rating on fragrance and perfumes.

Great idea however every time I scan a bar code it is never found. I need to take pictures submit and rarely is there a rating.

Not able to click on or expand, or open drop down menu explaining what is hazardous when you ARE SIGNED in to app!! Can’t create a list either way.

I use this for skin and body care, but 9/10 times I look something up or scan it it’s not on the app. So in other words this app is completely useless. Why even develop something that doesn’t even do the one thing that it’s meant to do? I just don’t understand.

Unfortunately, the search feature is terrible. I type MAC and get no results. 🙁 But the information is amazing.

This app is SO misleading. Some ingredients they claim are bad are in some of their top picks because surprise! They get bribed easily. Also Parabens are one of the few preservatives that we know are safe with long term safety data. The researcher who said it causes breast cancer was feeding rats their own body weight of parabens… of corse it’ll harm them. Dose makes the poison and no dose creates poisonous products infected with mold/viruses/bacteria ETC. Everyone was scared of parabens so they switched to the less researched phenoxyethanol (which is actually a pretty good preservative), now people are getting scared of that so we’ll probably be switching to a different preservative that’s even less researched and so on. I’ll take parabens and the 100+ year safety data.

Too bad it doesn’t recognize most products.

Clicking on products only works some of the time, this could be a great app I’d use often if it worked.
