Narrated walking tour of lower Manhattan. The best, easiest to use New York City tour app around! Why strain your eyes to see a distant statue from a tour bus, or get rushed through your favorite sight? See NYC the way it was meant to be seen: on foot.
Sixteen sights are included in the tour, covering about 3.5 miles. Rain? Take a break and resume later. It's like having your own personal tour guide, at a fraction of the price.
Two Buck Tours include narration (in English), maps with GPS, directions, photos, and interesting information about each sight. Good for tourists and locals of all ages. No schedules, no crowds, no worries.

Explore NYC FAQ
Is Explore NYC free?
Explore NYC is not free (it costs 1.99), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Explore NYC legit?
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.
If the app had ‘Manhattan’ rather than a small fraction close to the financial district and battery park only then it may be 5 star. Considering this is left without updates or completion then it simply isn’t a minimal viable product and should not have been released without more content
Great way to explore the city!
Very detailed, and it was great to be able to pause the tour in the middle — we got to grab lunch and spend a while poking around some of the sites. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a more in-depth look at a city, or who just wants something fun to do with a spare afternoon.
Great day of sightseeing
We downloaded this app on a whim, and it turned out to be one of the best days of our trip. And one of the cheapest! Lots of sights to see, all within walking distance and in safe areas.
Tourists will like this app!
Definitely worth the $2. It shows you many of the sights on the tip of Manhattan, including Federal Hall and Wall Street. The tour doesn't take you to the Statue of Liberty, but does give you tips on how you can see it from the free ferry (much faster, if you're short on time like we were). Also, it's all walking - so you don't have to spend your day on the subway.
Good for student groups visiting NY
The high school group we had seemed to like the iPhone format of the tour - even better than the guided tours we took. We chaperones liked that we could start in different places and still meet up for lunch. The tour itself was informative and well done.
Great tour!
The history and photos were very interesting. But the best part was how well the tour was organized! We got to see a lot of Manhattan in just 4 hours, which was perfect. We did make 9/11 Memorial reservations in advance and we did the 'drive by' Statue of Liberty ferry instead of the full-day tour, both of which the app recommended. And we DIDN'T spend the whole day on the subway, which is what we seem to usually do. That was nice!!
