Description

Test your vision at home with the VisionCheck app and device!
**Requires the EyeQue VisionCheck device to take vision tests.**
*Don’t have one? Order from EyeQue or Amazon today!*
Our second-generation CES-award winning vision test, VisionCheck, is powered by MIT-patented technology to help you learn about your refractive error i.e. your nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
You can use the EyeQue VisionCheck app if you:
- Have a single vision prescription between +8.00 and -10.00
- Have a cylinder between 0 and -5.00
- Are ages 25 and older
- Want to track your vision
You should not use the EyeQue VisionCheck app if you:
- Have light sensitivity
- Are colorblind or have difficulty differentiating between red and green
- Require a prism measurement
- Have difficulty holding up a smartphone while navigating the smartphone screen
- Have a medical condition that affects your eyes or eyesight, including but not limited to glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, or cataracts.
The VisionCheck uses MIT-patented Inverse Shack-Hartmann technology, which utilizes optical lenses combined with your smartphone’s pixel movement, to measure where the light focuses on the back of your retina. This means that to take a vision test, you’ll attach the VisionCheck to your phone, which will act a light source during the test, then take multiple measurements at different angles by merging a red and a green line into a solid yellow line.
*This is a self-administered vision test and results may vary. Our test performance feedback instantly lets you know how well you tested and provides resources to improve test performance.*

Waste of my time

Had hi hopes 4 this bcuz I can’t go to eye doctors due to horrible experiences because of my stupid eye shape. My vision has been bad 4 yrs and I saw this online and when I got a free offer to try it I grabbed it. Got the thing today, downloaded the app. Set up an account. Then couldn’t login! I verified the email, I tried and tried to login, even clicked reset password and still couldn’t login then even tried to sign up again and it said email already exists after saying the email didn’t exist. THANKS A LOT FOR WASTING MY TIME!!! Luckily all I paid was shipping. But I have no other way of getting Rx glasses so now I just have to make do with wearing cheap readers all the time. That’s ok. I enjoy bumping into doors and not being able to see the sports scores on the tv and having to use magnifiers AND readers to read the Bible. That’s perfectly fine. I hope I go blind soon and then my eyes won’t offend anyone anymore.

Difficult to get correct position

There should be a way to indicate when the Vision Check device is correctly positioned on the face and eye . I get mismatched red and green bars with the slightest movement resulting in unsure readings. Very frustrating !

Poor instructions very very poor

Eyeglass Rx in the palm of your hand

Been using VisionCheck for 3 years now. Each year, (just as the first time) when I break it out and charge the EyeQue device, it takes a short time to get comfortable with: 1. my eye orientation (to see the red and green lines) 2. its response to my finger input 3. the overall positioning of my arms, hands, head and posture… so that all things work in unison to produce good results. After the first (of three repetition) Right and Left eye (9 position) tests, I’m once again comfortable and I continue and complete all testing. By the way, if you don’t think you did your best (during any of the three test repetitions) you can select to delete that repetition and retake the test. All saved tests (time after time, year after year) are saved in a database to track and verify your vision and available for you to view. The VisionCheck device/app is written so that if you attempt to save a test the results of which don't correspond to what would be considered appropriate values, it will warm you. Each year my VisionCheck Rx is used to purchase new glasses (progressive lenses) and I’ve been perfectly satisfied with my corrected vision! I recommend VisionCheck. That’s my opinion. It saves me time. It saves me money. It saves me frustration. And ultimately, I’m responsible for myself…just as it should be. I hope my published opinion assists you in making your own decision. All the Best!

Missing a lot of calibration options

When I ran the set up, I wasn’t able to add what I think was the old prescription. It’s been way too long since I purchased eyeglasses. The red and green markers were so far off, the test flunked too much.

Excellent Results

I just got my first pair of prescription sunglasses using my results from VisionCheck and they are perfect. Even slightly better than my last pair prescribed by my ophthalmologist. A couple of things to know: yes, the app takes a while to use and isn’t easy like the one at the optometrist. No, not every online glasses provider will sell you prescription lenses without a doctor’s prescription, but there are still excellent ones that will. I got the same Ray Bans I always wear. Yes, it takes longer to mail order than to walk into a store, but if I never have to walk into a glasses store again I’ll take it. 100% happy with this.

It’s awesome to test my own vision with EyeQue

In recent years I noticed that my eye sight changed slightly, but I kept putting-off going to an optometrist until things got a bit worse. But with EyeQue it’s so cool that I can test frequently and easily order glasses more often to keep my eye sight sharp and clear. It’s the future for eye glass wearers like me!
